This story is about a creature in the Visayas called a Wakwak. No one has really seen one, but someone has heard one. They are not vampires as what you read in some sources, they are more like succubus, but they are basically human in all aspects.
It is titled as "Inheritance" because a wakwak is normally not made, however, there is a different process in that. A wakwak is more like an inherited power, curse, or both. The power of the wakwak is passed on as an inheritance, one who accepts it becomes the wakwak. Usually it is passed on among the relatives, but nowadays who will accept such responsibility, what if none of the relatives want it. Sometimes it ends up with someone outside the family, and this is where our story starts
