Bellatrix knew that being a member of the Black Family meant responsibility and as the eldest child she was to be a good example for her sisters and cousins. And today she was going to do the thing that only her cousins were meant to. She was going to take the dark mark.

The family was waiting the Dark Lord in their home. Bellatrix was really excited. In her eyes it was an honour. Even though her mother thought a pureblood woman's duty was to have children -a son if it was possible- for her husband, Bellatrix knew that being the perfect pureblood wife wasn't her thing. She was a warrior not a housewife.

When everyone was in deep thoughts, the Dark Lord arrived. Everyone bowed their heads and Bellatrix stepped forward. Voldemort took her arm, pressed his wand against her forearm and said "Morsmorde!" A disgusting mark appeared on Bellatrix's arm. "You are now a death eater Bellatrix and I expect loyalty upon everything else. Is that clear?" he asked. His voice was quiet but also dangerous. "Yes, my lord" said Bellatrix and bowed her head once again. Voldemort left the house and Bellatrix looked at her arm with pride.

She was going to accomplish great things, help her master to kill mudbloods and when they took over Britain, the Black family name would shine and she would be honoured beyond her dreams.

Bellatrix looked at the guests from her bedroom's balcony with an impassive face. Her wedding ceremony was about to begin. She didn't like the idea of becoming Rodolphus Lestrange's wife. Actually she prefered being unmarried, keeping her real name and honouring it instead of someone else's.  However, the marriage was her duty and she had to fulfill it.

When she was in these deep thoughts, her younger sister Andromeda came into her room. "Are you ready?" "Yeah. I will go to the ballroom, put on a fake smile and make the vows. Easy." she said and turned to her sister. "You are not the only one who wishes to stay unmarried." Bellatrix knew what Andromeda meant. She knew that she didn't want to become a Lestrange but they also knew that duty towards the blood was more important. "Cheer up Andie. At least Rabastan is in love with you and he will treat you with the respect you deserve." "Yeah but what about you? Will you be able to handle Rodolphus?" she asked.  " Dont worry for me Andie. Rodolphus knows me and he also knows that his only option is to respect me."

The sisters had stayed silent for a minute before Bellatrix talked. "Let's go bride's maid. We don't want to be late." she said and grinned. Andromeda grinned too and said:"You are right bride. The ceremony is about to begin." The two sisters walked out of the room laughing. However, they had no idea that it was the last moment they spent together as sisters.
