Old House : Death Wish

CHAPTER 1 : THE BASEMENT

Chapter 1: The Basement

As every ordinary day the sun rises and so do KUNAL wakes up from his lazy dreamy night

Day starts as normal , getting ready for college also due to he stays away from his DAD he need to work for his own such as making breakfast , cleaning and all daily stuff

To make his daily earnings and pay his college fees he works at night in the cake shop as a delivery boy and delivers the cake on his bike, the Boy get tips sometime and roll on for another order basically doing this is his daily routine

Few days passes by

One heck of a hardworking night he went tired at home felling sleepy and dizzy does his cleaning and dinner, goes for the bed and think about his boring life looking at his family picture he starts to remembered that happy days with his mom and dad and falls asleep having a dream about his old memory when he was a kid his DAD locked him in a basement while he shouts and cry and says sorry for throwing food in anger on his BROTHER because he was teasing him about he's adopted...

As his father sees such a behaviour he gets pissed (also he is a nice guy but he have some anger issues)

His dad gets angry and cold look on his face saying "I am tired of u both fighting and screaming all the day , u GAURAV (big brother) go in your room and no TV and pocket money for this month , but u little brat (KUNAL) u through the food huh!! you will get punished for it right now dragging him towards basement..

While mom tries to stop him saying "they both are just kids, U punish him but don't lock him down"

Dad says "At least for now he needs to learn how to respect food" locks him down and mom just had to accept it due to dads anger problems....

While he is locked all alone in the basement in the dark looking for a torch or a candle so that there will be no darkness....

He gets more in to the basement as he moves he feels creep out , he goes to the drawer at the edge of the wall and opens it to find something to lite , as he slowly opens the drawer with crazy creepy silence something goes on his hand feels like someone is touching his hand inside the drawer and has jumped out of it on to him , as he is a kid he gets scared and falls down shouting loudly please don't kill me -please don't kill me and sees beside him that there's a rat who was inside it and has jumped on him....

Clearing his cry face he stands up and says " I am strongest person, what is bothering about a rat, come on KUNAL don't be a pussy Oh I mean don't be a scared kid let's see what's in the drawer!!...

He stands up gathers all his courage and goes for the drawer, checking for some candles or torch , yet indeed he gets a torch better than candles in this scary basement , he turn on the torch but it won't lite as he says " Even the torch is Pussy scarred of rat or what ? "

He hears some chuckles of a kid, thinks what if there's someone in here hence, he starts saying "hello is any 1 in here?"

Scary little chuckles stops as he starts to hit the torch from bottom and try's to lit it up looking at torch, he thinks there is no battery inside so he opens the nob at bottom yet indeed there are battery in it just arranged in wrong way, he arranges battery properly in hurry and again starts the torch by hitting on his palm .....

The light flicker's few times of the torch and starts KUNAL again asks by scared voice and crying face "is any 1 in here?" moving the torch light in every directions....

As he sees no 1 he thinks may be he's dreaming about it, taking the torch towards his face and says "huh no one can scare the boss" laughs!!...

As strong he says the torch goes out and someone appears at his back in the dark saying" let's play"!

KUNAL gets scarred and starts to run towards the door of the basement as he run towards the stairs he falls down with torch falling in front of him with that fall the torch lite again pointing towards the wall wiggling and getting on and off making sound "tikhhhh clichhh".....

As he is down lying on the floor he stairs towards the wall whew the torch is pointing (in the complete silence only the sound of torch whiling left to right and getting on off) he hears the chuckles again....

A shadow of a ball taping the floor shown on wall yet the ball is taping all alone no one appears to through the ball down in the shadows , looking at this KUNAL try to scream but due to he is extremely scared he can't even scream holding his neck he try to scream yet not happen...

The Balls shadow stops in midair and the chuckles also goes slow and stops as KUNAL gather he's courage and gets on his feet goes towards the torch and pick it up he flash it towards the wall again yet no sign of ball or anything he turns back and something hits him like a shadow of a GHOST running all around him , he again try's to scream and this time the voice comes out and he gets up from his bed with alarm ticking and full of sweat on his body and scarred face on his face shaking his head and calming himself down ....

After all this gets his mind clear and get cleaned and ready for the college while he gets a text from his buddy NISHANT about today's day out he remember today is off for the college the holiday, so he and his friends had decide to go out with his college mates and hangout for the day, he text back his buddy NISHANT "meet u up in the mall"

While he see down his phone , the phone rings with an unknown number as ring passes by KUNAL thinks about the call to pick or not and the call gets end ,soon the call ends a text shows up from the same unknown number "Let's play?"
