Chapter 8: Chucking at death!

*Jerome's POV*

I wake up in different surroundings. Great, I was saved. Honestly, I don't see the point of living but life seems to have a firm grip on those who want to go. Does it make sense?

I sat up and saw that The fault in our stars was on my table-thingy. I opened it up and read a little. I chuckled at the part that said :

I told Augustus the broad outline of my miracle: Diagnosed with stage IV thyroid cancer when I was thirteen. (I didn't tell him that the diagnosis came three months after I got my first period. Like, Congratulations! You're A Women. Now Die)

I was interrupted by a Doctor screaming for a nurse. He Had Dirty blond hair and I saw his name was Dr.Cozart. He came up to me and ask me basic questions like 'What's Your Name?' and 'Do You Remember What you were doing before you blacked out?'. My name is Jerome and I was committing suicide because I love my best friend which is a guy. And this guy has a girlfriend. I couldn't say that because he would give me a talk about how wonderful life was.

He noted some things down on his clipboard. Then he smiled at someone outside and waved for them to come in. I saw a brown haired boy with the most beautiful chocolate eyes. Mitch. Followed by a black haired boy. Pete.

Mitch rushed to my bedside and clinged onto my hand. 'Jerome, You Never Do That Again. You Scared Me.. I couldn't live without you.' He said Looking deep in my soul. I just knew it hurt him because his brown eyes were filled with tears. This Boy will be the death of me..

Mitch Asked Pete to go so he could talk to me. Pete didn't mind, he said he wanted to see someone. But I wasn't expecting what he told me

He kissed me. Not rough, it was slow and passionate. I felt fireworks around me. Then he whispered in my ear 'You don't know how long I had been waiting to do that'
