In the picture, you can see Adrien and Félix's relationship in a nutshell :) Quick A/N: I know I haven't introduced Félix until now but trust me it'll all make sense why.

Third Person POV

Eight years before all this had happened, Adrien, Félix, and Marinette ran around in the park. Sabine and Emilie watched from one of the benches in the sides. Marinette had become friends with the boys since they went to the same school, which was private and cost a fortune. Félix was two years older than his younger brother and his friend.

The children played tag, Adrien was it. He was certainly the fastest out of all of them, so he caught up with Marinette quickly and tagged her. She frowned. She thought it wasn't fair since Adrien was faster. She was about to say something about it when Emilie called Félix and Adrien. It was time for them to head back to the Agreste Mansion. Both boys waved goodbye to Marinette and her mom and left.

Fast forward a couple days later, Emilie Agreste has disappeared. That day at the park was the last day that Adrien and Marinette played, or hung out at all really until much later when they were paired up in school as buddies. Adrien pushed everyone away from him, including his older brother. He could not believe his mother had abandoned him with his cold father. He cried for hours, not even Plagg could calm him down. Félix, however, did not show his emotion through tears, but through anger and arguments. He often fought with his father since he wasn't doing anything to find Emilie. That made Félix mad. One day, he took some of the fireworks that were left over from last New Years. They were tucked away in a closet behind the stairs. He wanted to prove to his father that he would not stand for it. After the fiasco, Mr.Agreste and Félix got into the biggest fight they'd ever had. Young Adrien watched from the top of the stairs as his father slapped his brother right across the face. That night Félix ran away leaving a note behind explaining why he could no longer live in that household. Adrien was once again heartbroken. Another one of his family members had abandoned him. He would no longer allow himself to cry. He let out all his frustrations on his current friends, his main target being young Marinette. One time in school he pushed her off the slide from the top. She had to go to the hospital since she'd gotten a concussion. She promised herself that day to never, ever, be friends Adrien Agreste. For years and years they never spoke to each other.  Adrien went down one path and Marinette went down another.

Nonetheless, Félix had taken a completely different route. He still lived in Paris, in a small apartment that he rented from a big fat man who didn't really care if a ten year old boy was living there by himself. As long as the landowner got his money, he was all good. Félix grew up taking care of himself. He only lived with his kwami, a creature that resembled a grey cat named Peste. He was similar to Plagg, but unlike Plagg, Peste had long hair and detested cheese. He would much rather sip on some tea. Peste symbolized rebirth, and that suited Félix and his new life. He felt as if he was reborn. He was a new person. He kept the name Félix, but instead of going by Agreste he used Millet. He didn't want to use his father's surname. Just like that, Félix Millet was born. He'd stolen one of father's credit cards before he had ran so he could pay forhis own education (he didn't want to go to the private school anymore and risk being caught by Mr.Agreste) and other things. The card was never declined and never seemed to be empty, which probably meant his father payed for it. Félix searched for his mother, but never found her. All he ever found was the truth about her disappearance and the truth about his father. He would, in fact, go home every couple years and set his own fireworks out in the front yard, just to show his father he had not forgiven and forgotten.

Emilie would write to her sons every now and then, but they never got the letters. Mr.Agreste would always take them and burn them. The latest one had been discovered by Nathalie, she had always despised Emilie. She didn't burn it, but instead tucked it away in a cabinet that held a picture of the Agreste Family from ages ago. The same letter and picture Adrien and Marinette found in their investigation.
