Kiss me first

I remained next to Tania.

Shawn looked like he would puke all over her rugs the following second. And stared at me as if I were the last glass of water in the desert. Tania threw a mobile phone to him. His. He caught it.

"I think I was wrong, Shawn," she smiled, looking back and forth between him and I, "it's she who'll break your heart." She patted my face. "Let's have dinner, loves. Carin will call you when it's ready." She walked off. Leaving us alone.

It took a while for any of us to speak.

"Hi." He smiled. I walked up to him.

"Are you okay?" I asked, handing him the glass of water he hadn't touched.

"That was terrifying," he admitted, drinking. Our fingers touched as he took the glass, and I shivered, taking a step backward.

"Can we go outside?" He nodded, we sat on the grass by the pool.

"I don't know how to swim," I commented, as he sat next to me. "Alaska is always so cold. My foster mom never let me dive in... I miss her sometimes."

"Do you guys talk?"

"Yes," I smiled. "I'm saving money to send her to Europe. It's always been her dream." He smiled, and his hand tried to reach my hair. I looked at him.

"What happened?"

"I think she's given up hope of shooing me away." We laughed. "I gave her this." He showed me his phone, unlocked. "Look at it." I took it. The notifications on his email, SM, and texts were numbing. Two girls asked why he didn't bother answering their texts in over a month, insulting him even. But none of them had numbers. He showed me his call and text history. Full of nameless contacts clamoring for attention. Their names and numbers deleted.

"I don't understand why—"

"She doesn't want me talking to you because it is true that I have not been great with girls since more than two people learned my name." He admitted. "But I can't stop with you." He sighed. "I see you in my mind all the time." He tucked my hair behind my ears. And I felt his hand tremble.

"You okay?" I repeated, seeing him almost faint. He nodded. "You look so pale," I noted, grabbing some grass to stop me from petting his face.

"I'm pathetically desperate for you to like me." He laughed. "I have only seconds, this moment, for you to remember me so well you'd give me the time of day when I come back, trying again to make you like me—"

"I remember you." I laughed, finally petting his cheek, he closed his eyes. "How could I forget you?" He looked back at me. And before I could speak again, came in for a kiss, taking my face between his hands and pressing my lips. Then he waited there, before continuing.

I had no idea what to do, neither how to control the electric shocks running up and down my entire body. So I followed his lips, slowly, as they caressed mine, his fingers softly petting my face. His tongue sweet, drawing my mouth.

We kissed long enough for dinner to be ready and Carin to call us in.

Perry accompanied me to each and everything and place since a week ago. Reason? My PR assigned wasn't good at keeping weirdos at bay neither menacing enough for the eventual perv photograph. He was funny and quiet, so tall I barely saw anything besides him around me.

On Saturday, I was allowed to join Shawn for lunch at the local beach.
