Chapter One: Her first day

Saiki's Pov

We were juniors in high school when my life began changing for the better and worse. It was midway through the first semester when she moved here. Who would have thought that someone so ordinary could change my way of thinking?

I walked in my first period of the day, English. It was an easy subject nonetheless, especially when you are a psychic. "Yo Saiki." I turned my eyes slightly to see Kaido with that creepy shimmering smile. His pointer and thumb shaped his chin in an 'L' and he was sparkling.

"I heard we have a new classmate. And its a girl~" 'I could care less. Now could you go away?' He turned to Nendo and repeated the process to all of our friends. I sighed and looked at the clock as the bell rang.

"Attention class, we have a new student joining us." The door of the classroom slowly opened and most of the chatter stopped, but their minds didn't. 'Who do you think it is?' 'I heard it is a girl.'

All eyes were on the door. Like most people were thinking, it was a girl. She had short brown hair but two longer bits in the front. There was a small white bow in her hair. Two reasons she caught my attention that stood out.

The first, her eyes. Her eyes were an abnormal golden color. They shone with innocence, but if I knew one thing about girls, they are never innocent.

The second thing that caught my attention.. I couldn't read her mind. It was like she was a Nendo, but not a Nendo. A non-Nendo Nendo.

She walked up to the front and looked at the teacher with no expression on her face. He turned towards us. "This is Lia Akino." Her eyes trailed from the teacher to us, scanning across each person.

"She will be your new classmate so I want you all to help her adjust to her new life at this school. Oh and there is one more thing, class..."

Her eyes met mine for a few seconds, but I was intrigued, nonetheless. No one in the class expected what the teacher was going to say, not even me. The teacher's mind was completely blank.

Akino's Pov

The principal led me down the hallway, instructing me where to go and told me to wait until the teacher is ready to introduce me so I felt around my pockets to my inside shirt to see if I still had my money.

"...new student joining us." I took that as my cue and opened the classroom door. My heart beater faster and faster as I made my way towards the teacher. I looked at my average looking class. That is when I laid my eyes on him.

Saiki's Pov

"Akino here.." There was another pause. "... is an orphan."

(She is the girl in the picture below except with white bow in her hair and white ribbons wrapping from the start of her wrist to an inch or so below her armpit . It comes to importance later. Also, she is wearing the school uniform.. And she wraps her chest so it looks like she is an A-cup but she's actually borderline C-cup, easier for fighting. )

As soon as the bell rang, Kaido instantly appeared at my desk. "Told ya so~" I looked away not caring. "Wow so you are really an orphan, Akino?" I glanced at the girl, her desk was two desks behind me and to the left. She had a frown on her face. There were at least five girls at her desk. "...yes."

I turned around, grabbing my stuff and began getting up. "You have math next?" "Oh that teacher." "Doesn't Saiki have her next?" I glared slightly at the desk in front of me, pushing my chair in. "Saiki~" I glanced back to see three of the girls. I didn't respond when they asked me to take Akino to her class.

'God what a creep. Why did he have to be the one we had to ask..' 'I'm so much prettier than she is, but all of the guys were looking at her, it's so unfair!' 'Ugh, Saiki, please just take her so we can have a break!'

I nodded and they smiled relieved, walking back over. 'God what a pain.. She is going to attract more attention.' A few seconds later, Akino was standing in front of me. Her eyes were looking into mine, and I still couldn't read it.

'Why are her eyes so abnormal?'

She stood up as I looked to the door, telepathically telling her that the class wasn't very far. She nodded, looking around, confused. "Uh..." Her voice was very small, as of expected for a new student.

Seeing the hallway mostly empty, I began to walk again. In all honesty, the less people we had to walk around, the better. I don't want to get close to this one. I hate attention.

"Your name is Saiki, correct?" "Yes." "Do you want to be my friend?" I didn't respond to that one. "You don't like being around me do you?" "No." "I like the honesty." "We are here." She nodded her head slightly, and looked a little confused. I pushed her slightly through the door and telepathically let everyone know she was new and needed help getting around.

I then walked to my desk as a few people rushed past me to help her. I noticed her expression never changed. But- "Saiki!!" A tick mark appeared on my head as I glanced at Teruhashi, who also has this class.

I sighed as she began going on in her mind about how good she is. I stared at the clock, secretly hoping this day could go by faster.
