Saiki's Pov

Christmas, the happiest time of the year.. For some people. My parents love this time because of the special occasion. My house looks like what you would expect from a happy couple, but it's also ridiculous and draws a lot of attention.

Ding Dong

Who could that be? I didn't sense them coming. That leaves two options.. "Hey Buddy!!" Nevermind.

I looked up at Nendo from my spot on the couch. My mom explained why he was here just as dad walked through in his yearly, unrealistic, Santa outfit.

-

I just wanted be left alone. My wish wasn't granted because now I have Nendo, Teruhashi, Hairo, and Kaido all sitting at my dinner table. And mom and dad never help the situation.

"Hairo who you texting? Is it a girl?~" "Ah no one specific, just a friend.." 'I can't tell them that I have a crush, they will ask to many questions..'

-

"Oh crap look at the time. I have to head back." Back to where?

It doesn't matter I'll find out soon enough. I have to use the weird bat to fix what mom did at dinner.

3rd Person Pov

Akino sat at the grave and felt the headstone so she could read the name.

Kokoni & Greisha Akino
Loving parents

A sigh escaped her lips as she stared at the gravestone. Her arms and body sore from the recent beating she took from her uncle. "I'm sorry mom, I couldn't stop him again. I know you would tell me to be tough, but it's hard to without you and dad here."

She waited a moment in silence as if she was expecting some answer, but instead, the presence of another person right behind her caused her to hide her head, thinking it was her uncle ready for another round.

"Akino?" Her eyes widened slightly at the calming voice. A jacket gently wrapped around her shoulders. "It's Hairo, what are you doing out here?"

The boy blushed at seeing her in a thin shirt and pants, so casual. He knew why she was here, that's why he came to pay his respects.

"My..... parents...I was.. visiting.." Hairo set the bouquet of flowers and box of sweets on the headstone. It was only right for him to do this for her.

"Why are you here Hairo?" The presence of another caught her attention, but this time she knew who it was, he was hiding. "I saw you sitting out here in the cold. I thought you might need company."

She smiled a small smile in his direction, pulling the jacket closer to her chest. A blush appeared on his face. 'God she is so cute..'

Saiki, who was a few yard away, saw the whole scene. The wacky yellow object firmly in his hand. His mission was clear, but he figured he could give him this moment at least.

"I should head back before he realizes I'm gone." The girl stood, and covered a wince from the pain in her shoulders. Hairo didn't notice, but Saiki did. He could tell with the way she was standing that she was seriously injured, not that he cared really.

"O-Oh yeah that's right, you live with your uncle. Should I walk you home?" "No, it's fine. I'll take the time to..
organize my thoughts." He nodded, standing as well. His eyes never leaving her dull golden ones. As she turned to walk away, he felt a sense of guilt for thinking about himself in her scenario.

-

Her head turned quickly on that presence. She could feel his eyes on her. Her house only a block away.

"Why are you following me, Saiki?.." He made himself known, talking in her mind. "You are injured." "I'm fine." He stepped towards her. "I can see you limping, and you are holding your shoulder."

She felt her voice break. "I said I'm fine! Why would you care anyways. You don't like me. You didn't even want to be my friend."

His eyes scanned her petite body. Even with his perspective ability, he couldn't see through her clothes or skin even. Something was blocking it.

Something like- his eyes shot to her ring. The one that he needed to make sure never came off of her finger.

Her legs began to throb as she turned to walk away. She had hoped to get home before he woke up. The sound of his car starting up about a block away, caused her legs to tremble more. She ran as fast as she could through the short to get home.

Please don't let him see me!
