After assuring Hyungwon has arrived at the shop safely, Changkyun waves him goodbye as he heads off back to the arcade, slowly disappearing from Hyungwon's field of vision. Once he can no longer see his friend, Hyungwon turns to his shop and unlocks the door. He opens the door and moves to step inside, but sees a scrap piece of paper in the doorway. Someone must have slipped a note under the door, Hyungwon thinks as he leans down, picking up the small note.
Please arrange one bouquet of purple Hyacinths and deliver it to xxxxxxxxxxx by 9 tonight.
-Thank you
The note has no name attached to it, just an address. Hyungwon prefers customers to pick up their arrangements, plus its cheaper for them, since delivery costs extra. But Hyungwon pockets the note, already submitting to the request. If this person left a note instead of calling the shop and leaving a voicemail, it probably meant they needed these flowers urgently. Plethora of Petals was the only floral shop in the immediate area, finding another shop would mean driving several hours further into the city. Plus, the flower choice made it obvious, this person had screwed up. Hyungwon begins tending to his foliage before starting the arrangement, seeing as he has plenty of time to arrange it since it won't be needed till tonight. So the pink-haired florists meanders through his workspace, watering flowers, trimming excess branches, removing wilting or dying flora, and other chores required of him. Hyungwon soon finds that it is 8 PM and so he walks up to his many shelves of flowers, easily locating the purple Hyacinths that were requested. Snipping off several of the flowers along with their stems, Hyungwon trims away any excess leaves he finds before bundling the flowers together gently with his long slender fingers. He ties the flowers together and wraps them in brown parchment paper, before adding a pale yellow ribbon to hold the paper in place. He smiles softly at his work, indulging himself in the rich purple hue of the delicate flowers. After a brief moment of simply enjoying the moment, Hyungwon looks at the clock mounted above the shop door and decides to head out to deliver the flowers.
After about a fifteen minute commute he arrives at an apartment complex. The note says to deliver it to room 514. Hyungwon groans in annoyance. That means he has to go all the way up to the fifth floor, and he can see that the only way up is by stairs. He begrudgingly trudges up the stairs and by the time he reaches the fifth floor he is exhausted. Working as a florist isn't extremely labor intensive, except for moving large potted items, and Hyungwon doesn't have many of those. So in conclusion, he is not very "in-shape". He takes a moment to catch his breath before walking down the row of apartments, stopping as he reaches the door labeled 514. Hyungwon knocks firmly on the door and steps back.
"Plethora of Petals delivery. I couldn't contact you, so I hope you know that delivery costs ex..."
Hyungwon's words fade away as the door swings open, his plump lips hanging slightly open.
It's Hoseok.
Hoseok rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.
"Please don't run away, just... can you come inside for a minute? I promise I won't do anything."
Hyungwon would object, but he's tired and the night air is chilly; plus the subdued way Hoseok looks when he speaks tugs at Hyungwons heart. So he simply nods and cautiously walks inside when Hoseok steps aside to let him in. The apartment isn't extravagant but it's homey and decorated with a modern flair. It's warm and Hyungwon can smell food, he realizes he's quite hungry, but he decides not to say anything. It's then that he realizes he's still holding the bouquet. He awkwardly holds out the flowers towards Hoseok.
