2: New Kid

Paige's P.O.V

     The place was empty, I was alone with a complete stranger. No kids playing, no mothers talking, no dogs running around, just a chaos. I turn my head to my right to look at the guy I came here with but found nothing. He left. I turn my head back and was surprised to see hundreds of people on their knees crying, begging for me to set them free.

And there he was standing next to a young girl who looks  like twelve. "Are you thirsty?" He asked, I couldn't see his face clearly because it's blurry but I can tell he's smirking. I was confused by his question so it took me seconds to answer. "No. I'm not" I can see him smirk and pull out something from his pocket.

It was a shiny silver.... knife. "Are you sure?" He asked again as he brought the knife to the girl's neck making her shiver in fear. "W-what are you doing? Put that knife down" I managed to say but he just gave me a smirk, and without mercy, he slit her throat, killing her. I can see the red blood dripping from the knife and from the girl's neck. And for some unknown reason... I'm feeling thirsty, the sight of the blood send a mysterious feeling in my throat.

It smells like... something.. I love. "I thought you're not thirsty" he said looking at my hands, I followed his gaze and gasped when I saw my hands covered with blood. "You also has something on your lips" he said and leaned in to kiss my lips, it lasted for a few second before he pulled away. My eyes widened to see his lips red.. red with blood..

"Paige wake up!" I slowly open my eyes and saw mom with a worried look painted on her face. It was just a dream.. or should I say nightmare? "I heard you screaming something from downstairs so I decided to go and check you out. Are you alright?" She asked, which I answered with a nod.

"A'ight you should go and take a shower we'll be taking you to Calliflaux Academy after breakfast" she said and kissed my cheeks before leaving my room. I sighed as I run my fingers through my messy morning hair. What was that? What kind of a dream was that... and who the hell is that guy? Why did I let him kiss me in my dream?

"We'll always call sweetie. Take care of yourself ok?" Mom said as she gave me a hug. "Ok" I replied. Dad hugged me for the last time before they left me in my new prison. I took a look at the huge old-styled building for a second before stepping inside. I can see some people staring at me as I walk, probably because I'm the new kid.

"Welcome to Calliflaux Academy, I am Ms. Ciara Morette, the head mistress." A woman said appearing out of nowhere, startling me. "Oh hey.. I'm Paige Evans" I said extending my hand for a handshake, she gazes down to my hand and back to me "I know. Follow me." She said ignoring my friendly gesture and starts walking. Rude.

"Calliflaux was built in the 18 hundredths, yes it is one of the oldest schools here. And that painting over there was made by the famous French painter Lucas Lumiéré." Ms. Morette said pointing at the painting of a beautiful woman and a guy with blood on his lips.. creepy. It reminded me of my dream last night.. the stranger whom I kissed in my dream.

"Ms. Evans?" Ms. Morette said snapping me out of my thoughts. "This is Ms. Bettina Bronze, the librarian, she will give you all the books that you'll be needing and the key to your dorm." She said, a few moments ago Ms. Bronze was not here... and the library is still 2 stairs away.. how is that even possible? "You've been spacing out ever since you got here, how about you take a rest after you get all the things you need?" She said nicely and I nod.

"This might be a little heavy" Ms. Bronze said as he handed me ten thick books... that sure is heavy. "And this is the key to your room" she said placing the gold key that is shaped as my room number on top of my books. "You look just like her.." she whispered but enough for me to hear. "Pardon?" I asked but she just gave me a weak smile. "Livrina, do you mind taking Ms. Evans to her room?" She said to the blonde haired-girl who was busy talking with her group of friends. "Sure" the girl named Livrina said as she stood up and walk towards me.

"So you're the new kid. You must be Paige Evans, I'm Livrina, Livrina Saige. Cool your name and my last name sound the same" she said. "So what are you? Fire Enchantress? Water? Air? Nature? Potion? Or are you a wolf?" She asked causing me to furrow an eyebrow. "Why are you looking at me like that? Don't tell me you're a human. Because humans are not allowed in here they can't even see this place without the head mistress' approval" she said flipping her long blonde hair. Thinking she's just messing with me, I just laughed and went inside of my room. "I'm serious!" I heard her yell before I close the door.

I look around my room and noticed how big it is in the inside. But when you take a look at it from the outside you'll think it is small. The room is bigger than an ordinary dorm, it has everything I need. It also has a flatscreen TV. Wow the owner of this school must be pretty rich.

"Paige Evans" A girl said from behind making me jump. "You startled me" I said and she just gave me a blank stare. "Uh hey?" I said catching her attention. "How come I can't read your mind?" She asked, why people here are so.. confusing and weird? "I don't understand... what you're saying, If this is some kind of prank because I'm the new kid.. I'm seriously not in the mood right now."  I said and get inside of my bedroom.
