“Save us..” A whale cried. I stopped swimming as I saw many plastics loitering in our home. The ocean. I gritted my teeth. How could the humans who lives in the land do this to us? Ocean is not a garbage dump! This is a home for us who can’t survive in the land!

I swam near the whale at patted his back. He looked at me with a very sad eyes. “I can’t admire the beauty of the ocean anymore, mermaid. It is being covered by plastics now.” He said to me while we continue to swim slowly. We roam our eyes. There are plastics everywhere we look! I can see the pollution entering a fish’s body. That fish would die at this rate!

I called out the fish, but before I could reach to him, he already died. I stilled, unable to move. I gritted my teeth in frustration and anger.

“How could you destroy the beauty of our ocean!” I shouted, referring to every humans who treat the ocean as their garbage site.

Then suddenly, a wave hitted me. My forehead knotted. What just happened? Another wave came in. Making the fishes and other species disapper. The third wave happened. And the corals are disappearing. Everything. And when the fourth wave hit my body. I can feel myself disappearing.

But I saw everything. When the fifth wave happened. The ocean.. Disappeared.

I became a spectator. I see the humans, struggling without the oceans to help them for their living. Every water disappeared. Every fishes, whales, dolphins. Everything. And it scared me.

A world without water is scary. I would never ever get used to a world without water.

I continued to watch the humans struggling as a tear fell off my eyes. “You destroyed us. You destroyed everything..”

And suddenly, I came back into my senses. Is that the future? The future that I can’t bear to see.

Stop abusing our environment. Before it’s too late. Before you regret it. Before we disappear.
