Chapter 7

I woke up the next day feeling lazier than usual.

I groaned as I slowly sat up on my sofa.

I then tidied my F/C hair.

Suddenly, a knock was heard.

Before I could get up and open the door, a bandaged figure walked into the room while carrying a plate filled with human meat.

"Morning, sleeping beauty!" Eto said in a cheerful tone, "Sorry for intruding."

She then took a seat next to me.

"What's this for?" I asked her, "It's not like you to bring me some kind of breakfast in bed."

Eto giggled.

"I figured you were hungry," she answered.

"I'm not-"

My tummy rumbled.

I clutched my stomach as Eto laughed.

She then put the plate on the table next to my mask.

"Just eat it," Eto said, "You can thank me anytime!"

I hesitantly grabbed the meat before eating it.

My stomach instantly felt better.
I then licked my lips.

"Thanks, Eto," I said with a smile.

Again, Eto giggled.

"Anytime, Y/N, anytime," she answered before grabbing the plate.

Eto then stood up.

"I'll leave you be," Eto said, "See you then!"
And with that, Eto leaved my room.

I looked towards the window.

The sun was already up in the sky.

I figured that I should drink some coffee to energize myself a bit.

Still in my pyjamas, I walked towards the room that we usually use for gatherings.

When I reached the room, Kaneki was standing there while brewing coffee.

He was wearing a black shirt and white pants.

"Oh, hey Y/N," Kaneki greeted with a small smile.

I waved at him.

"How are you feeling?" I asked him.

"Better," Kaneki answered.

My eyes then darted towards a sofa that looks new.

"Woah, we have a sofa now?" I said as I took a seat, "Damn, it's comfortable."
Kaneki nodded.

"Eto suggested that we get a sofa," Kaneki said, "Naki and his bodyguards, Gagi and Guge, went to a shop last night to pick it up."
"I bet they robbed the shop," I said with a sigh.

Kaneki then poured the coffee into two cups.

He then gave me a cup.

"Here," Kaneki said with a smile, "You look tired, I figured you might need this."

I took the cup from his hands.

"Thanks a lot!" I said with a grin.

I took a sip of the coffee Kaneki made me.

"Tasty as always," I commented.

Kaneki then sat next to me.

He then sipped his coffee.
