I slowly opened my eyes to find myself inside an unfamiliar room.

By the looks of it, I was in a hospital room.

I winced as I tried to sit up straight.

I tidied up my hair.

I was shocked.

My hair was back to its original colour, H/C.

"How...?" I murmured.

"You're awake," a voice said.

I turned my head towards the sound of the voice to see a man with white hair sitting next to me.

He was wearing glasses and a suit.

His silver eyes watched my E/C ones.

I instantly recognized him.

"Arima Kishou?" I asked, "What happened?"

Arima fixed his glasses.

"You don't remember?" he asked.

I shook my head.

Suddenly, my head started to hurt.

I grasped my head as memories flooded my head.

Of course, I remember.

Kaneki and I were fighting him after Anteiku burnt down.

Kaneki was badly injured, and I barely survived.

"Kaneki, is he okay?" I asked him.

Arima nodded.

"He's still unconscious, but he's alive," Arima answered, "But there's one thing..."

I gulped.

"What?" I nervously asked.

"He lost his memories," Arima said slowly.

I gasped.

"What about Hide?" I asked again.

"Nagachika went missing," Arima answered, "We still haven't found him."

I lowered my head.

"I see..." I mumbled.

We then stayed silent for a while.

Suddenly, Arima decided to speak.

"L/N-san, I want to ask you a favour," Arima said, "I want you to help me supervise Kaneki."

"Why?" I asked.

"I'm going to train him until he's ready to inherit my title," Arima answered, "I figured that with your help, it would be much easier to train him. I thought that you could be his motivation."

"But he lost his memories," I told him.

"He'll regain them, but it would take a long time," Arima said, "For now, he's no longer Kaneki Ken."

"Does he have a new name then?" I asked.

Arima nodded.

"Sasaki Haise," he told me.

I processed the information.

"Wait, if you're going to train him does that mean we're going to become investigators?" I asked him.

Arima nodded.

"I never thought the day would come," I said with a small chuckle.

"Me neither," Arima answered, "But it's the only way I could supervise him."

We then sat in silence.

"Alright," I said breaking the silence, "I'll help you."

Arima smiled.

"It's a pleasure to be working with you," Arima said, "Phoenix."

I smirked.

"Same here," I said in my Phoenix tone, "King."
