Distant Silhouette

Hi, my name is Roxanne, everyone calls me Skylar, i am writing about an experience i had several years ago.

So, when i was 19, i'd often see a dark silhouette in the distance when i was in the middle of my bus' trip to my house, at first i wouldn't think too much about it because i just thought it was someone normal passing by even if it was a little fishy to be sat in an empty field.

The more trips i took, the closer he was to the bus, on the 27th January, he would be just in front of the fence staring directly at me in the bus, even when he was far away, he would still look at my direction which i found pretty creepy, i ended up telling mom about the situation and she called the police who would follow the bus during it's trip, the day the police was here, was the only day the guy wasn't there, and so the police and my mom didn't believe me anymore.

i found that my friends would stare at me weird after school, and we wouldn't have anymore skipping hangouts like we would often do, and it kinda made me sad and unsettled, i was unable to sleep anymore because i was always afraid that the man would get me during the night when i was sleeping, my mom had to hide a somnifere in my evening hot milk glass every single night so i could get sleep and not fall asleep in class, which could get me in detention

yeah, i started to become paranoid and scared of everything, my mom noticed and got me a therapist as quickly as possible and tried to get as much sessions as possible because she was so scared that my paranoia would affect how i grew up, my grades and my mental health, although she only forgot a single thing to do, avoid letting me go to my usual bus, but after what happened afterward, i think she did the right thing.
