Omkara's POV: One year had passed by our marriage and today it was the night before the new year. We were having a party at our house, many guests were there. Gauri came to me and hugged me from behind. "Gauri control, guests are there," I said making her leave me and she put both her hands on her forehead. "Oh God, why me? Why my husband is not allowing me to hug in public?" she said in a voice audible to me only. I smiled at her irritation and wrapped my arms around her pulling her into a hug.

I felt her smile. "Khush?" (Happy?) I asked smilingly and she smiled even more. "Bohat khush," (very happy) she said tightening the hug. "Hello di," Anika said coming to us and we broke the hug. "Hi," we both said at the same time. Gauri hugged her. Her parents too came there and she hugged them as well. We saw that the clock was about to strike twelve. "3.." we said having a countdown as we heard the fireworks. "2.." we again counted as the fireworks continued. "1.." we did the final countdown and finally the clock struck twelve. "Happy New year!!!" We all shouted happily as if we were children.
