A beautiful black girl sitting across from me in the library asks, I have my headsets on making it impossible to get what she's saying. As I stare at her I can't help but wonder what a gorgeous looking girl like her is doing in the school library, she looks too cool to be in a library.
Me: Am sorry, what was that? Unknown: what song are you listening to, I mean you look paralyzed by how good it must be
she says with a smile
Me: oh..ah it's an African song..Been calling by a male artist called Maleek(I say with a smile) Unknown: wow I love African music just haven't heard of that one Me: really, you really should I actually love it..oh who am I kidding I love like every African song be it Gospel, hip hop etc Unknown: OMG me too which is a little weird because am from New Zealand Me: well it's pretty okay for me because am African Unknown: shut.up!(she shouts in excitement) Librarian: sshhh!!! Unknown: oops sorry Me: why do you seem so happy to hear that am African? Unknown: am so in love with Africa all I ever wanted was to find a friend from Africa(she says with a big smile) Me: aren't there any Africans here? Unknown: oh they're but most of them are isolated in groups..I know a few guys but not one girl.. OMG where are my manners..am Talitha and you are? Me: am Daniella Talitha: well it's 4pm now would you like to go to my dorm room for a snack? Me: ahh sure why not

As we are walking to her room which is like three minutes away from the library, we talk about the funny billion things we have in common, I found it really cool that she could balance modeling, economics and still have time to have fun. We walk into her room and there two guys seated on one bed and a drop dead gorgeous girl seated on the other bed.
Talitha: guys this is Daniella she's new here, Daniella these are my friends John, Rashid and Lilly my roommate. Lilly: Hi Daniella
She gets up and hugs me,"Sorry am a hugger". Me: no biggie i don't mind John: well you will trust me, nice to meet you
Before I can shake his hand Rashid pushes him to the side and shakes my hand, I laugh at how funny they both are
Lilly: come take a seat, would you like anything to dr_
Before she can finish John hands me a glass of coca cola and gives Lilly a goofy smile. She rolls her eyes at him Lilly: gentleman my ass John: love you too Me: thank you Talitha: so you guys are we going for that meeting with Mrs West? Rashid: oh, speaking of meeting i have to go for my training, coach is not gonna leave my ass if I don't Me: training? John: his a stupid ru- Rashid: captain of the school rugby team John: yeah that Me: wow that's pretty cool Rashid: oh I know, I know Lilly: whatever see you later Rashid Rashid: bye bitches, the beautiful Daniella and the other one John: fuck you
We all laugh and continue talking about the modelling meeting. They all asked me to join the team but I said I couldn't. So they asked me to join them in the meeting just to see what was involved and how fun it can be. I mean I've always thought of modeling but I don't think i can pull it off I mean look at Lilly and Talitha, Talitha has the body of Kendall Jenner while Lilly looks like Dua lipa. Lilly: I can't wait for you to see the other girls trust me you'll love it John: and maybe you'll change your mind
Meeting more gorgeous girls.... sure that's not gonna raise my insecurities of modelling at all.
