Why Can't You Remember?

Fang's POV

'Of course, mom would choose tonight of all nights for me to walk the dogs.' I thought to myself. It wasn't even that dark, the sun was just now setting. I heard the faint sound of crying though, I clutched on tightly to my dogs' leash and followed the sound. I came across a boy slightly smaller than me curled up into a ball against the wall with tears streaming down his face, "h-hey are you okay?" He began crying, even more, one of my dogs walked up to him and began licking his... leg? Why was that? I decided to walk over and investigate but I was terrified of the two bleeding cuts on his pale skin... was this why he was crying?

He began crying even more, "p-please don't take me to my p-parents," he stuttered out. "Why?" I asked him, he just shook his head and began crying more. "Here why don't you come with me," I suggested. He gave a small nod before wincing as one of my dogs licked right where his cut was, I also noticed small bruises scattering his body. I examined him, he was pretty cute. he had jet black hair, pale skin, and pink eyes! I've never seen anyone with pink eyes. I noticed how he clung onto my arm, he seemed to jump at every sound. Once we were inside my dad peered from his desk only to stare horrified at the weak boy next to me, "F-Fang who is that?" my dad asked. The boy weakly held out his hand, "h-hello I-I'm N-Nori-" I looked at him he had stopped midsentence and I saw more tears building up in his eyes. "I found him crying while walking the dogs! He needs some help," I said to my dad.

"Jia!" he called out and soon my mother came down she immediately noticed Nori next to me, "what happened to you?" she asked looking at the two large cuts on his arm and leg. He began crying even more and I felt the urge to hug him, but before I could my mom ran over to him and sighed, she grabbed his hand and I almost felt sad as I watched her drag him into the bathroom. My dad turned to me and ruffled my already very messy hair, "how about we make dinner for your new guest?" I nodded happily before running towards the kitchen, "I'm gonna make Nori feel so at home he'll never want to leave!"
