(last day of school)

It was the day of the handover of the school certificates. The huge school's cultural hall was completely filled with students from the 12th grade. That was perfect for me and Jack because we both were in 12th grade. We had the handover of the school certificates on the same day. Jack and I went to school together and stayed at each other's side for the whole time. We were holding hands and talked. As we took our seats I noticed that people were staring at us. They couldn't get over the fact that someone like Jack was by my side all the time for all these months. They were baffled how such an outsider like me, could get such an amazing boyfriend. They couldn't understand it. We thought it's funny.

Couple minutes later the principal stepped onto the stage with a mirophone and greeted us. The handing over had begun. She called the students one by one and handed them their school certificate along with a rose.  I knew she would call Jack soon. She did after many minutes.

"The next student is also one of the best students, let alone even the best student we ever had. The student is John Anthony Gillis."

My jaw dropped after she said that. I looked at Jack and started jumping from happiness. I cupped his cheeks and gave him a quick kiss. We both were smiling to our ears. 

"Go and get your certificate, babe!" I cheered.

He stood up and I watched him walking towards the stage. She handed him his certificate and shook his hand. I was screaming of happiness meanwhile. People were staring at me but I didn't give a single fuck. I was proud of my baby.
He walked back to me with his school certificate in his hand, smiling widely.

"I am so proud of you, honey." I opened my arms and hugged him. I gave him a peck on his lips. I felt everyone's eyes glueing on us. Did we care? Not a little bit. It was our little moment of cherishing the achievement of Jack. 

I slowly let go of him and we sat back down. Not too long after I was next one to recieve the certificate.

"The next student is also one of the best students we have here in school. The next student is Alida Rosenstein."

I stood up and heard how people were cheering for me. Jack stood out from all of them, because he was the loudest. I started walking towards the stage until all of a sudden Jack grabbed my hand in front of everyone.

"What are you doing?" I whispered, slightly confused.

"I want to cherish this moment with you"

"Oh, Jack" I laughed and blushed intensely as I was walking to the stage. I was embarrassed, but it was adorable of Jack.
We stepped up the stage completely red and accepted my cerificate. I shook hands with her and she giggled at Jack's action.

"That is my girlfriend everyone" He shouted and pointed at me. 

"Jack!!" I giggled and hid my face behind my hands. 

We walked back hand in hand to our seats with a smile on our faces. Both of us were proud to each other and incredibly happy. We sat down onto our seats and looked at each other. We made it. We finally made it. We finally finished school. And we did it together.

"I am proud of you, love. I love you so much" He smiled and gave me a peck on my lips.

"I love you too, handsome" I whispered at him.

Jack put his arm around me and pulled me closer to him. I leaned my head in the crook of his neck and interwined my fingers with his. We watched other students walking up and getting their school certificate until it was finally over. We put our school certificate into our bags and headed outside. He walked me home, so I could leave my bag and go to his house later on. We kissed once more and I opened the door and went into my flat. My parents were already home, waiting for me to show my school certificate to them.
