Chapter 16: A dream

Kehlani POV
Days went by as I got better physically, but mentally and emotionally I was tore up inside. There was not a minute nor hour that went by that I didnt think about her ... Milian ....Where she was? what she was doing ? Who was she doing it with? I couldn't help but think about about her because at one point in time she was all I felt I had. The tv lowly mummers as I twiddled with my new phone Chasity got me. Luckily I still have the same number and my iCloud so much wasn't lost. It seems my old one disappeared along with Milian. How could she leave me man? What sense did it make in her mind to leave me at a time like this? I grew angry after a while more than sad thinking about it. She shouldn't have left me, since she wanna leave me I shouldnt miss her .. right? I thought to myself scrolling through Snapchat. 1 new friend lit up at the top of my screen from a notification. Clicking on it I notice that it was a person I didnt recognize but it said it was added by number so this person must of really known me. Confirming the friend request I hoped that the person created a snap but nope nothing not even a cartoonized picture. Ignoring the weirdness of the situation I decided to text Chasity and ask when she was coming up her. Few minutes no response.. that's not like her what she tied up in that she can't text me back I thought allowing one of the nurses to check my vitals. "The doctor will be in to see you in just a moment , I think you get to go home soon that's exciting " the nurse mentioned walking towards the door. "Oh really that's good " I responded watching her walk out the door. Well that was good news , I finally can get out of this uncomfortable bed and sleep in my own. Even though I know it will feel different without Milian , I still miss my bed. Making a snap of my feet in the hospital I titled it going home soon 🙏🏽 , I posted it to my story and tried to relax. "pa gen pwoblèm sikonstans ou bote toujou pran souf mwen ale" a familiar voice trailed off into my room. Looking toward the door I notice the tall figure was no other than Zenel. Allowing his pretty white teeth form a smile , he stood at the door with his hands behind his back. "How did you know I was here and what are you hiding ?" I asked glaring my eyes at him. "lè yon bagay mwen vle disparèt mwen ale pou li, paske mwen toujou jwenn sa mwen vle (when something I want disappear I go searching , because I always get what I want) " he replied pulling flowers from behind his back. They were beautiful , 8 white roses with one red rose in the middle. Causing me to blush I almost forgot he never answered my question fully. "That's not answering my question zenel, how did you know I was in here " I asked not letting the question go easily. He brushed the back of his hand across my face , and smiled causing me to do the same. Shit I aint want to smile , pull it together key and figure out how this nigga know where you at. I rose an eyebrow a waiting him to answering my question fully. "My little sister goes to your school , and told me , so I came to check and here you are , anything else Ms Kehlani?" He responded raising his eyebrow back at me. Cute. "No sir Mr. Zenel , thank you for coming to visit me I really appreciate it " I said. Which was true I really did appreciate it because not many came to visit me except my usual 3 (Chasity , Unc and now jay ) and some of the dance team. "No problem beautiful, do you know when your suppose to get out of here? " he questioned and on cue the doctor walked in. "Hello Ms Richardson it seems as though I have very good news for you." The doc said bringing joy to my day. "it looks as though you will be able to be release today , but on bed rest for a couple days so let's not jump into any roller coaster when we leave shall we" he joked getting a little giggle from my lips. "Do we need to call someone to come get you , or ." "No she's fine I'll take her home " Zenel butted in reinsuring the doctor that I was okay. "Ms Richardson is this okay? " the doctor ask. Not wanting to bother uncle and wanting to surprise Chasity I decided to take him up on his offer. "Yes sir it's fine "I confirmed . "Good well II'll get your discharge papers finish and then you will be able to go home" he completed before leaving the room. "Okay my love let's get you ready to go , where are your clothes " Zenel asked walking towards the duffle bag in the chair. Chasity brought me some fresh clothes for when it was time for me to leave. "Make sure you choose something decent okay ?" I added attempting to sit up and get out of bed. "Oh I have very good taste ... in everything " he commented turning to give me a wink. Causing me to blush I tried to hide my glowing face beneath my hands, but it did not work. "I love to see you do that" Zenel commented handing me my clothes to change in. Just giving him a small smile I made my way to the bathroom to put on my clothes. After a few moments later the nurses brought in my papers and I was prepared to leave. "You ready to go lil mama ?" He asked carrying my bags on one arm and offering me the other. "Yes sir I am" I replied. Making our way to his car , I took a breath of fresh our being grateful that I could still do so. When we finally made it to the car he opened the car door for me and helped me inside. Giving him a head nod of appreciation, he shut the door and packed the trunk with my belongings. Once that was finish he joined me inside the car , started it up , ask for my address and made his way to my home. Jamming to the music blaring through the speakers I really enjoyed the time we were having. "Are you hungry my love, I know you probably didn't touch that hospital food." He jokes giving me his gorgeous smile again. "Omg yes " I said too eagerly. "Somebody hungry for real don't worry I'll take you to grab something , I know you don't wanna sit in anywhere." He said turning off onto exit. Actually agreeing with him grabbing something quick was definitely up my alley. Pulling into In and Out burgers driveway my stomach groaned at how hungry I was. Once we ordered our food , we awaited to be seen at the window. Getting his money from the glove department I noticed a black gun sit perfectly on a stack of money which worried me. Not wanting to ask questions immediately, I acted like I didnt see it and continued to play in my phone. After we got our food ,we headed back into the direction of my house. The question nagged at me and nagged at me until I couldnt take it anymore. "What is that you do exactly " I asked timidly bitting on my fry. A sinister smirk crawled across is face as he prepared to answer my question. "I'm not gonna lie to you because at the end you'll make your decision to stay or leave either which way." He replied giving me a chance to prepare myself for his answer. "I'm a drug dealer, one of the top dealers here in this city. I'm also in stocks but that's just a side hustle to keep the feds off me. I've been doing this for 9 years and don't plan on stopping until I get to the top. I know its a lot to take in but I know I needed to be completely honest wit you" Zenel answered pulling into my driveway. Taking in all of what he said my mind played tug of war with the thought of this being okay. "I dont know about this or you Zenel , I  really don't know if I should even trust you or feel safe around you . You could get me killed for all I know." I turned to him and explained. "One thing you will never have to worry about is being safe and protected around me , you are something I treasure and won't let anything happen too , I can bet my life on it. Ya see Ms Kehlani , your something I've been looking at for a while , and now that I  have your attention your something I'm not gon let go." Zenel charmed pulling my face closer to him with a finger.  Falling into his deep gaze and smooth voice I couldnt help but trust his words. "Okay Zenel , I'll go with it but as soon as I feel uncomfortable I'm gone " I warned preparing to get out of the car. "Trust me you won't." He said giving me a small smirk before exciting the car. Opening my car door with one hand and holding my bag with the other Zenel helped me towards the house. Using my key I opened the door to find a empty house . "Unc? , Chasity ? Hell jay? " I called out hoping for a response .. nothing. Knowing the steps would be a lot to get to my room , I decided to get comfortable in the guest room downstairs. Once I got comfortable and settled , me and Zenel said our goodbyes and he left. Being alone in this big house bothered me I had to find my sister because this silence was gonna be the death of me.

MILIAN POV
Not seeing my sister, unc or jay was throwing me for a loop. I didnt like it but I knew it was the best for everybody at least till everything settled down. Kehlani ... what was my love doing? Is she okay? Was she in pain? I cant take it I have to know what she was doing HELL what anyone was doing. Getting on snap I notice that Kehlani accepted my request and I quickly tapped on her story to see what she was up to. She was out the hospital , and home in the guest bedroom. I noticed the covers and rugs from the bedroom. A gush of relief swept across my mind knowing that she was okay. I still had to see my sister , speaking of which she was suppose to be here in a few. We were meeting at my go-away apartment up north. Knock knock knock there she go. Opening the door I brought my sister into a big hug. No matter how much she got on my nerves I'll always miss her. "Okay ugly put me down I missed you too but damn " she exclaimed beating me in my back. Putting her down and punching her thigh I ran to the kitchen avoiding her hit back. "So how's everything here in solitaire?" She asked taking a peach from the fruit bowl. "Terrible I miss y'all and my baby , it's driving me crazy but I know its the best ... " I trailed off. "How long you plan to be gone?" Chasity asked. "Until this shit over between me and snake period, he won't get a chance to hurt you or Kehlani long as I'm not around and he think I'm dead." I explained.
"You know you driving Kehlani crazy not being there right ? Why don't you just tell her your plan?" "It's best she forget me honestly , look at the life I was bout to put her in? How can we raise a family in that? We can't exactly !" I yelled in frustration. Walking out the kitchen into my room , I needed music because honestly thinking about not having Kehlani anymore drove me into a deep depression. Allowing the low music to mummer through my speakers I tried to think of something else. "Milian then leave the game , your faced with this challenge again , but this time you have a choice." Chasity soothed from the bedroom door. Referring back to Rayevon , I couldnt take not having Kehlani in my life either. Allowing the thought of leaving the game rummage through my mind I actually considered doing it. I mean I had way more than enough to take care of us , and I could live a happy life with my baby. "You right Chas .... I should leave it all alone ... especially for her ..." I said lifting my head from my hands. "Only you know how to get out of this and once you do don't look back." Chasity said pulling me into a hug. That's all my sister wanted though honestly , was for me , my unc and even jay out the game. Yeah it's time .... I'm ready.
Walking Chasity out to her car , we passed a few jokes and memories and then it was time for her to go. "Okay lil sister/brother be safe and call me if you need me. I got kehlani , but remember what we talked about so you can come home" she said getting into her car. Giving her a head nod I tapped the car notifying her that she was good to leave. Walking back to my apartment I notice a tall full figured woman moving into the apartment across from me. Noticing that she was having trouble with her headboard I decided to give her a helping hand. Not ever seeing her face we pushed the the headboard into the living room. Once it was settled in I turned my back for the door. "Thank you so much I would have never got that in here." A familiar voice chimed.  I know that voice. Not turning my back I finally made it to my door. "You welcome , I know that problem all to well" I joked turning to face the woman.. "Milian ?" ... "Rayevon.?"
