Chapter 4
It's another rendition of Santorini in Greece. The island is a local version in the Philippines but it’s so fascinating.
She froze on her seat when she saw the lower part of the island. The white sands are sparkling like diamonds under the light of the moon and so as the water.
It’s funny but her boredom flew away just like that the moment they met at the altar. And he’s quite a good actor.
And now the pain slightly subsided just by looking at the cockiest man she had ever met in her entire life. And she’s aware that she’s with Zed and not with Paul.
She’s so stupid and she feels that stupidity because of Mechizedek's presence. His presence quietly says Paul’s ignorance and shortcomings as a boyfriend, a fiancé and as her husband.
“How important is that business matter compared to our wedding, Hellboy?” She asked out of nowhere, intently looking at the man’s face beside her.
“Way more important than you.” Zed blatantly replied which made her sob in an instant, turning her face away from him.
That’s true.
When the door beside her opened, she was having second thought whether she’d accept the call or reject it.
He offered a hand but she just looked at it.
“For Jesus' sake! Aren’t you tired of crying? Answer the gaddamn call and ask your husband. Spit out those thoughts and queries inside your fucking head.”
Don’t talk to me if you will just make me feel like an idiot.” Paangil na siniko niya ang binata.
“Oh hell you are an idiot.” Bulong nito at walang lingon na nilayasan siyang mag-isa.
“Ang sama mo! I hate you!” galit na tinanggal niya ang sapatos at binato ang likod ni Zed gamit ang isa pero mintis.
Sayang…
