COURTED BY THE BANDIT...

CHAPTER 5 - I WON'T SHARE HIM

  Jiao Long woke up to find himself wrapped like an octopus around the younger boy. He smiled contently, no one who slept near him could escape from being his body pillow muahaha... He gently untangled him self, straightened his appearance before waking up Min Zhe. The youngster blinked groggily and was shocked to find that he actually slept soundly even though being used as a pillow...he wasn't a masochist ba? He humphed at Jiao Long then got up and tidies himself.

  taking in the setting he was in... this must be Jiang Hu, from the limited knowledge he had about it from TV shows and books back in his world the characters often set on journey's to find join powerful sects. Jiao Long looked at Min Zhe and asked, "What do you want to be?"

  Min Zhe was shocked momentarily by his question before answering. "Someone strong... strong enough to destroy whatever I want, to torture those who hurt me and-AH!" A hand strongly flicked his forehead, the sensitive place in-between the eye brows. Min Zhe glared at Jiao Long through his bangs and grinded his teeth.

  "Don't think like that again, you're the same as them if you treat them like they treated you, power is not everything."

  Min Zhe continued glaring at him and humphed.

  Jiao Long "What do you know about... cultivation sects?" he asked carefully.

  Min Zhe thought for a bit in silence before answering. "There's a righteous sect for each town... The cities one being most powerful. There're demonic sects, all ruled by their demon king."

  Jiao Long "Is that all you know?" he regretted that as soon as he said it as he knew nothing. Min Zhe's face flushed a slight pink enhancing his childish look. He vowed in his heart to learn more of this world when he can so that he can knock Jiao Long off his feet. 

  Finding his reaction adorable, Jiao Long couldn't help but pinch his cheeks and snatch the boy up into his arms. Min Zhe was shocked motionless by the sudden intimacy and the closeness of the others face. "How about you follow this gege and he'll find you some suitable sect to settle down hm? A child like you shouldn't wander the wilds and how will you outsmart those who mistreated you without a teacher?"

  Caught up in the moment Min Zhe absent mindedly muttered an "en". Although he was stubborn and had a tough demeanour this child was still a child, in the face of proper adult like advice he could only succumb. Jiao Long smiled and said " good boy." and set him back  down on the ground. Min Zhe felt a sense of loss, almost wanted to raise his arms like a baby and ask to be picked up. His face flushed from embarrassment. 

  Jiao Long, "Now let's head to town and find some food." As they walked to town at a leisurely pace, Jiao Long began wondering about the things he could do in this world. He wasn't that out standing in his world, he was a normal worker at a normal office, the only outstanding trait he had was that he could memorise anything he saw only once. However this quality wasn't needed in that day and age since they had computers to do that job. Perhaps this trait could be useful in this world. Suddenly an outrage of violent coughs interrupted his thoughts, he doubled over and clutched at his mouth, willing the blood to go back where it came from but a small trickle still slid out the side of his mouth. Jiao Long grimaced as Min Zhe's brows furrowed as he saw this. Is his internal injury that bad?... I'll pay those bastards back double if we meet again. Jiao Long straightened and carried on not noticing the dark look plastered on Min Zhe's face.

  They finally arrived in the town, and thank the heavens, within Min Zhe's bag were a few bronze pieces, enough for a bowl of congee. Jiao Long looked around and made way towards the most mundane but busy restaurant. it seems cheap restaurants are popular. Finding one empty spot, Jiao Long sat down and patted his leg, "Come, sit on gege's lap, I doubt we'll find another empty space."

  Reluctant but silent, he crawled his way on to Jiao Long's lap. He (JL) ordered one bowl of congee and watched Min Zhe ravage it. He chuckled to himself, this young boy is sure to grow up and become a beast.

  (A/N- oh yes he will dear protagonist hehehe)

   Min Zhe then looked at Jiao Long's empty hands. "where's yours?"

  Jiao Long "i'm not hungry, eat so we can be on our way." he said using his sleeve to rub away congee from the edge of his mouth. This action may seem normal but in this world only people who shared affections would do it. Min Zhe blushes thinking about it and bats Jiao Long's hand away with a hmph.

Then out of no where a young girls voice came from beside them. "Beautiful Gege, I'll share mine with you if you don't mind?" Jiao Long turned to his left and saw a girl around the same age as Min Zhe smiling up at him. She had jet black hair and round eyes. Hair in a bun and wearing working class clothing this girl seemed to be the sweetest thing around. Jiao Long smiled at the little girl and said, "No need little one, thanks for the offer." Ah, this one will definitely grow into a beauty... don't main characters collect beauties into their harem in stallion novels? Am I a main character since I transmigrated? hmm... a harem full of nice girls does sound nice though... Min Zhe noticed his unfocused stare and smile at the stranger girl. He immediately felt anger bubbling in his chest at Jiao Longs  divided attention. And then he saw that audacious girl extend a spoonful of congee towards him(JL). his body instantly reacted and he shoved his palm in front of Jiao Long's mouth. The girl was shocked and then glanced at Min Zhe in disdain.

  Trying to keep this beauty to yourself?

  He's MINE

  Jiao Long... to him these children seemed awfully odd, having a staring contest maybe? He then removed MinZhe's palm and said " hurry and eat, we need to find a sect soon."

  The girl " Is big brother looking for a sect? if so I know of a place that you could get into easily, meet me here same time tomorrow ok?" with that she got up and left. Hm, odd girl.

  That night as they fell asleep, Jiao Long being an octopus again to the now unreluctant MinZhe, dreamt. He dreamt a voice. You have one day left child...one day...
