Jiao Long woke up feeling very light headed the next day. As he reluctantly let go of his body pillow he started a coughing fit again waking up MinZhe. The boy sat up and frowned, not knowing how to comfort the other.

MinZhe " you're weak... when we get into a sect you need to train your body." he mumbled. Jiao Long was lost for words, he actually said 'we' and talked in a definite future tense. On the spot he started tearing up and hugged MinZhe to his body whilst running his soaked face along his hair.

MinZhe "Hey! that's dirty!" he exclaimed and tried pushing JiaoLong away to no avail so he could only succumb to the others wailing.

After a while they tidied themselves up and started heading back to the village hand in hand. MinZhe stared at the point of their body contact, the other grasping his hands tightly as he went forwards. He (MZ) looked at the outline of JiaoLong's form and for the first time in a long while, he slightly smiled like a child.

JiaoLong, oblivious to all the emotions the child is experiencing wonders about his dream last night. Last day? last day on earth? last day of suffering? last day of living!? He pondered on these things without arriving at an answer and before he knew it they had arrived at the town again.

The two spent the whole day dilly-dallying around town, chatting, and JiaoLong actually caught a few glimpses of MinZhe's smiling face and he couldn't help but smile and pat his head.

Soon it had become the afternoon and the two headed to that same restaurant where they met the little girl and not long after she appeared too. She bounced towards them, smiling exclusively at JiaoLong, earning her a scowl from MinZhe.

"My name is Xiao XingHu, but gege you can call me Hu'er. I'll take you to my uncle's sect and put a good word in for you." and with that she tugged JiaoLong along. He stared at her, shocked that this normal looking girl had such connections. And so he fell into his routine of daydreaming what kind of sect this girls uncle lead.

On the side however, was MinZhe eating vinegar. He watched JiaoLong's  hand in the grip of another. His own hand found their way to JiaoLong's sleeve, an act of a cub unwilling to share with other again...

They walked for a long time and slowly JiaoLong noticed an odd change in their environment. They had been ascending upwards for a while now and the vegetation was getting thicker and thicker. This little girl wasn't a human trafficker in disguise was she...?

JiaoLong "... little sister... how come your sect is so deep into the mountain woods?"

Hu'er turned around with a grin and JiaoLong felt as if he had asked the Big Bad Wolf in disguise a silly question. he  gulped in nervousness. "It's common sense, to be hidden is to be safe." She then picked up her pace and soon they arrived at the base of another rocky mountain sat on another. Lush green vines snaked around the ghastly, white rock. In the silence all JiaoLong could hear were the whispers of the wind against leaves and their own breathing. He took MinZhe's hand off his sleeve and placed it within his own hand instead. Perhaps following a little girl into the woods wasn't a good idea... how come the adults never warned adults not to follow strange little children?

Then out of no where Hu'er raised her cupped hands and howled like a wolf, her head bent back like a mad woman. Startled, JiaoLong jumped and stepped in front of MinZhe. A second later, an echoing howl came from above the great stone base. And then the rock started moving, it was detached from what they thought was the base of the mountain, it edged inch by inch to the side leaving a gaping hole, a pathway in.

JiaoLong... now why would sects need to hide...?

MinZhe stood calmly as he watched JiaoLong step in front of him protectively, he secretly smiled before his expression turned solemn again. It was common knowledge that cultivation sects liked to be in open clear spaces, the fact that this 'sect' was hidden in the mountains led him to guess what kind of place this was. And when the stone gate had fully opened and they ventured inside, MinZhe was able to prove his suspicions right with one look at the people's way of dress. Skin revealing, Unkempt hair, messy styled clothing.... Bandits.

JiaoLong took one long glance at these rough looking men and decided. I am never trusting cute little girls ever again. Just as he was about to turn and run away with MinZhe a broad chest blocked his path.

"My My, what have you brought here little niece?" asked a man whose height reached the heavens and width made mountains seemed small. Dreadlocks hung from a high pony tail and mighty sharp eyes stared down at the two strangers. This man resembled a mamma bear in its territory.

"Uncle I've brought good potential to you, they're looking for a sect! And I really like this Gege look how pretty he is!"

the man took one look and said "pretty he may be but what's the use of a pretty boy around here, pass him around to relieve stress? And  what about this brat here?"

JiaoLong was shocked at the language and content this man spoke of around children and instantly tried to cover up MinZhe's ears.

"Let this little one tell you what she knows, come uncle so we can chat." Hu'er said before trotting off.

Our live are  possibly in grave danger here and you wanna chat!? you little shit, death to all human trafficking little girls! JiaoLong screamed in his head.

"Confine them in a room for now, I'll see to them later." And with that the two soon found themselves locked in a small room with only the bare necessities.

"don't worry A'Zhe , I'll keep you safe..." Though JiaoLong wasn't even sure he could keep himself safe. Noticing his nervousness MinZhe soundlessly pulled JiaoLong onto the bed and lad him down before laying next to him. JiaoLong chuckled at this child's odd ways of comforting, indeed sleep is good for the heart.

Throughout the night whilst being tightly hugged, MinZhe heard JiaoLong cough a few times before falling asleep. All was peaceful until he awoke to the lack of tightness in the others grip. at first he didn't bother to open his eyes, thinking the others just gotten a little weaker, but then the heat of the other's body started fading too and in a heartbeat it was completely gone. Shocked, MinZhe sat up anxiously and called out JiaoLong's name. He felt around the bed and found no other person. He snatched a candle from the bed side and lit it, and to his horror apart from him there was no other but a few dark red ...feathers on the bed...

JiaoLong's body pillow suddenly went from soft and warm to cold and hard. His eyes snapped open to find himself laying at the stone temple from his modern days. He stood up in confusion and thought he heard his name being called in the winds. But as he took in his surrounding he ignored the voice and instead shouted... "I'M BACK!"
