I wake up. I open my phone to look at the time. It's precisely 4:27 am. I guess I fell asleep as I was playing cause the guitar is back in place and I am on the sofa, which means they moved the stringed instrument and then they transported my body. I sit down on the couch and try to reach out for my wheelchair, but then I realise that Dan placed it like 45 feet away from the sofa. I let out a sigh and try to see if Josh is awake. He is usually playing games till five since he doesn't work or have any school in the morning. I instantly see some light coming from his room, So I call his cellphone, ya know, to not wake the whole family up.

- ...... Yes.........?

-Josh, It's Noah, I'm kinda stuck on the sofa...

- ...sor........ beeeeeeeeep~

Josh hung up. I stared at his door for a good 10 minutes, He never came to help. I felt like a man stuck on an island. I laid down and stared at the ceiling being unable to go back to sleep. It was late for some and early for others, but for me it was somewhere between the two. I wanted to sleep, but I wasn't tired. I look at the time on my phone again, 5:42. I close my eyes and try once more to sleep.

I open my eyes a few minutes later, but instead of being back at Dan's house, I'm in my room. I look at the time, 7:45 am. It did not make sense, but I went with it. I guess going to their house was just a dream. I grab my wheelchair on the side of my bed, sit in it, and roll to the kitchen. Something seems odd though... I can smell something cooking. I quickly look around and as I do so I see... my mother...? I shake my head and look again; it is her... were the past few months just a nightmare? I roll closer to her.

- Hey mom, what are you cooking?

- Your favorite, pancakes ~

- Ehhh I hate pancakes, the one who loves them is y--

- Ahh!! Be careful!

She inadvertently dropped the pancakes on my laps as she vainly tried flipping them like people on the net. I sorrowfully smile a bit as I look at her. Hah... I knew it was too good to be true. I didn't feel any pain as the supposedly burning pancakes fell on me, which could only mean one thing. THIS was the dream. I would get woken up by someone soon. I decide to ignore the whole thing and enjoy the dream. My mother just panicked as she'd always do, picked up the pancakes and place them in some plates anyway because she didn't like wasting food. After what felt like hours, I hear Dan's voice echoing, It's time to wake up. I look at my mother's face one more time before closing my eyes.

-Noah... Noah, NOAH!

I open my eyes, see the ceiling at first, but when I looked in the other direction I saw Dan. I realised my eyes were tearing up, so I quickly dried the tears with my left sleeve. I look closely at Dan's face; he looks stressed, panicked.

- What's up...

- It's Josh. We can't find Joshua anywhere...

- eh?!

My eyes widened, and I quickly sat on the sofa. My tired self didn't realise how weird the phone conversation from this morning was. I explain the Dan the whole wheelchair - Joshua call scene. I remember now. Joshua clearly said, "I'm sorry" before hanging up.
