Part 6

Hyunjin had posted a picture of him and Youngbin getting bubble tea.
The caption read "happy national best friends day to my one and only 💞"
Jeongin suddenly wakes up, heading sniffling noises.
After realizing that he had fallen asleep in y/n's room watching a horror movie, he glances toward the bed.
Y/n lay there clutching her phone and the stuffed teddy bear, Jinnie Bean. She couldn't seem to stop sobbing into the bear, resulting in hiccups.
Jeongin walked over to the bed and sat down next to y/n, putting his arm around her and pulling her into a loose and comforting hug. He rested his cheek on her head, her hair giving off a sweet aroma of pine trees after a soft rain, later shifting to his chin.

They stayed frozen in that position for a whole, until y/n pulled away, looking him directly in his eyes.
"I should've never left" she managed to get out between hiccups.
Jeongin looked at her phone screen, clenching his fists tightly.
"This isn't your fault. He should've known better. He was an idiot to let someone like you go. You're one in a million y/n. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise."
Jeongin hates seeing y/n so hurt. He felt as if punching a brick wall would be better than seeing someone he loved so dearly get hurt.
"Thank you for always being their innie."
"What kind of friend would I be if I let you go through life by yourself?"
Once again, he embraced her in a tight hug, not caring about the vomit stained shirt from the night before.
"Y/n get changed. We're going to the amusement park with Jisung, Woojin, Chan, Felix, Minho, Changbin and Seungmin."
Jeongin studied y/n's face, waiting for her to ask the question she was thinking out loud.
"What about Jinnie?"
There it was. The question he knew she was going to ask, the one he'd been dreading since they'd planned the trip.
"Well..uh he had other more important plans."
"Do his plans involve his new best friend?"
"Y/n—"
