The trees were just beginning to turn fiery orange and red, and pumpkins were showing up on doorsteps. Harrison opened the door of his house and stepped out into the cool Autumn air. He began to giggle as he saw some of his neighbors' kids go running down the street dressed in their Halloween costumes. "Hi, Harrison!" They called, running to meet him. At about that moment, the door to the next house shut and Charlotte began walking towards them. "Hey, guys! What are y'all up to?" She asked. "I guess they're practicing for Halloween night." Harrison replied.
One little girl in a black dress and pointy hat jumped out and gave an imitation of a creepy laugh. "I'm a scary witch!" She exclaimed. "Oh, you look really scary!" Harrison replied. The little girl smiled with satisfaction while Harrison gave Charlotte a clever wink. "You know, Charlotte, you kind of look like a nice witch." He said. "I get that a lot." She replied slyly. The two of them said "goodbye" to the children and walked off. "Hey, I've been wondering something." He said. "What is it?" She asked. "Now that you've left Fantome, do you still have your powers?" He inquired. Charlotte grinned, and sent a pile of leaves swirling into the air.
