After the second period bell rang, Noah showed me to Math and we parted ways. On the board it said where we sat. There was a division table, a multiplication table, subtraction and addition. I sat at the addition table. Once I sat down a curly brown headed boy walked over and sat next to me. He didn't say anything he just sat there. I got out my sketch pad and drew a rose. He looked at my sketch pad for a while and finally said "You're good." I looked up at him. "Thanks." I reply quietly. He watches me a little longer and then he gets his math folder out. "Class!" The  teacher calls "I'm Ms.Bee if you haven't met me yet." She looks at the role sheet with her glasses pushed up. "Kayla?"
"Hello darling, do you mind taking this to the office?" She smiled "I don't know where that is." I reply honestly. "I can show her." Curly head says. "Alright, Finn." She shoos us out the door. As we walk down the hall, he stops me and takes me into the library. "Sorry if I didn't seem friendly earlier. I don't like math." He smiled. "It's fine. I probably wouldn't have spoken anyway." He started walking again, through the other library doors and into a small hall, then the office. "Weird that she'd ask a new student to bring the attendance though." I nodded "Right? I mean really. Did she expect me to know?" He laughed and I did as well. "I have no earthly idea." We walked back and into the classroom. Where Ms.Bee was teaching geometry. "Ew, math." I joked with Finn. We laughed quietly.
Next period was science which I had with Noah and Finn. I didn't know who to sit by at first but then they sat next to each other and both waved me over. "Over here Kayla!" Noah called. He patted the seat in between him and Finn. So I sat there. They both smiled at me and so I smiled back. Who knew I'd make friends this fast?
