Ganyan agad ang salubong sa akin ni Dana nang magkita kami sa hotel. Ni hindi man lang bumeso. Ba't ba parang mas affected pa siya kaysa sa akin?
"I don't like him. Well, at first I did. Pero masyado siyang presko! Pinipilit niya akong kumain at susubuan pa sana ako. Isn't that too much when we just knew each other? He even offered to give me a ride. I have my own car! He thinks that I need him. Ano siya? I can do things without him."
Pinandilatan niya ako. "What? That's it? You should've given him more time. Nanantiya lang yun, nakikiramdam. You're too uptight!"
"I'm just curious ha! Bat parang pinagtatanggol mo yang si Matty?"
"Girl, halos lahat nang nakikilala mong lalaki laging may mali. I know you're a strong independent woman pero hindi naman masamang maging dismissive sometimes! At ganon talaga ang mga lalaki."
Natigilan ako sa paglalakad. "Ganon?"
"Yes! You're so smart and talented yet when it comes to this, you're so naive. Masyadong logical and rational and idealistic. Hay nako, let's go to the meeting na nga."
Alright. Now I admit that I kind of overreacted. Or maybe not? I was just used to do things on my own without a guy telling me what to do. Nanibago lang siguro ako. But well, I don't want to think about it. Hindi naman na siguro kami magkikita. Not that I'm hoping that I'd get to meet him again. I am not even interested.
"Miss Victoria, everything's almost ready, we're just waiting for the food to arrive. Ellie called them and they said they'll be here to set up in 30 minutes."
Nililibot ko and venue at chinicheck ulit ang bawat details. We were working since 8 in the morning. Medyo pagod na ako and I wanted to sleep.
"Where are the cocktails, Mira? How about the the band and the dj? And the host? We only have 2 hours before the party." Naupo ako sa isang furry couch sa gilid ng infinity pool. The view is breathtaking. Chantal's party is in a resort in Bali. The party will start at 4:30 just in time for the pink skies. Ngayon ay nag cu-cruise si Chantal kasama ang ilang mga guests gamit ang isang yatch. Some of the guests arrived earlier while some are arriving just now.
"Nasa loob ng hotel na si Ma'am Dana to follow the cocktails up. Kanina pa po dumating ang banda. The DJ is arriving any minute from now and so is the host."
Tumango ako. "Good. Ikaw na ang bahala sa host. I'll go to my room now. Call me if you need something. Also tell Dana to come and see me after an hour. I'll just take a nap then we need to settle the payments ASAP."
"Noted, Miss."
Wala na akong planong mag stay pa rito bukas. I haven't booked a ticket yet but I will after I take a nap. I need to settle everything with Dana and Chantal tonight. I doubt it kung magagawa iyon bukas. Everyone will surely get up late. I'm planning to leave in the morning pa naman.
"Tori, are you awake?" Bungad ni Dana sa akin na'ng sagutin ko ang tawag niya. "Open the door."
"You brought extra swimmies? May mga dumating pa kasing unexpected guests. They're like two lang naman. I only have three left but I'll use them tonight and the next days."
We are giving PR kits for the guests dahil kala-launch lang din ng summer line namin. Ellie brought 30 and I didn't expect na kukulangin iyon. I thought we're only giving them to celebrities, models and social influencers.
Kinuha ko ang dalawang sa luggage ko. I brought my own swimsuits but I also brought extra PR kits. Baka kasi May makasalubong akong acquaintances here in Bali and planning to give some.
