When I sat down, questions were running through my head. I was so preoccupied with my thoughts that I didn't hear the commotion behind the door I was slumped against.
Suddenly the door flew open and I fell backwards.
"Owww," I groaned as I attempted to get up.
"Jirou? What are you doing against my door?" asked Kaminari with an inquisitive tone.
I saw his hand reach out to mine and I was pulled up off the cold ground.
"Come in quickly before Mr Aizawa sees us," he whispered in my ear. At the beginning of the summer Mr Aizawa and All Might had set one clear rule. No going in the opposite genders room or there would be serious consequences. Well here goes nothing, I'll get into so much trouble later.
"I'm sorry. I didn't realise this was your door. I'll leave now," I replied heading back for the door.
"Wait. Come back. What's wrong?" Kaminari motioned me with his hand to sit down next to him.
Sighing, I gave in. I sat down a few inches away from him on his Pikachu bedspread. "I just rejected Momo and now I feel terrible about it," I confessed. I saw his expression change to something I didn't know what it meant. I wonder what he was thinking?
I hadn't realised I was crying until Kaminari leaned in to wipe my tears away. "I want...to tell...her...I'm...s..oryy," I stuttered in-between sobs. The room was filled with an awkward silence and my tears continued to stream. My tears were like raindrops is summer.
"Oh," he said in a sullen voice, "that was worse than I was expecting. But I have one question. Why did you reject her? Momo is almost perfect in everway."
Reluctantly I replied to his question. "I have no idea. I just said 'no' then I ran away and came here."
"Well if you need a---" he stopped abruptly as there was a loud knock on the door.
Immediately, I ran behind his desk and crouched down so I couldn't be seen.
"I'm just coming," yelled Kaminari as he reached for the door key.
Before opening the door he looked back in my direction with a panicked look on his face.
