Kaminari slowly opened the door and I could hear a loud sigh of relief.

"Ahhhh, thank goodness it's you Sero, I almost had a heart attack thinking it was Mr Aizawa," Kaminari cried, letting Sero into the room.

"I'm sorry, I forgot my keys," replied Sero. Kaminari did not look impressed.

Carefully, I snuck out of my hiding place but I accidentally knocked off a vase. I heard something cut through the air besides me and as I looked up I saw Sero's tape flying to pick up the vase. He had one handy quirk.

"Be more careful next time,"Sero warned. "Oh, and don't worry I won't ask why you were in here, Jirou." He turned to my direction and smirked at me.

"It's not what you think!" I told him as I playfully hit his arm.

"Stop it you two, let's get to the party," Kaminari butted in.

The three of us made our way out of the room, being cautious so that I wouldn't get caught.

The party was based in the main hall. It was dark in there but the room was illuminated by fairy lights hanging all over the walls. Chairs and tables had been removed to make space for the DJ's deck, which was playing some generic pop music. Several of my class mates were on the dance floor awkwardly shuffling to the music as Iida waved his hands at everyone trying to control the almost dead party. Sat in the corner in the darkness was Tokoyami. But that was normal. There was another figure observing the party, which Tokoyami was comforting, but it was too dark to make out who it was.

Alone, I made my way to the dance floor. Sero and Kaminari were getting some snacks apparently. As soon as I reached the centre I was surrounded by my friends.

"Jirou are you ok? You ran off in a hurry," asked Uraraka giving me a hug.

"I'm fine," I replied, releasing myself from Uraraka's embrace. Wow her skin was soft!

"Sorry we didn't wait for you, we didn't know where you went," apologized Tsuyu.

"It's ok I was in Kaminari's and Sero's room," I answered shyly. I watched all of their faces transition from worried to shocked.

"Jirou! I did not know you were such a naughty girl!" gasped Hagakure. We all laughed at this. It felt good to laugh again after what happen.

After a few minutes the hall began to fill up with late comers and the music changed to something more upbeat. I danced with my classmates, moving my body to the beat. I became exhausted after a while so I scoured the dark room for somewhere to sit.

Out of the corner of my eye I saw Momo's tear streaked face. Her big dark eyes were red and her cheeks were blotchy. The instance we made eye contact she dashed out of the hall. I felt my stomach turn and it made me feel absolutely awful.

It clicked.

It was Momo who Tokoyami was comforting. How could I be so oblivious?
