I walked in and automatically spotted my baby Caiden with his wild hair.

"Now you know dang well you could've done my baby's hair better than this Trey." I said walking over to the table with a big smile on my face.

"Ay! What's up? Don't worry, he'll be getting it done later on today." Trey said with what seemed to be a shocking look on his face.

He stood up and gave me a side hug.

Cai was just stood looking and waiting I guess for me to acknowledge him.

"Papiii!!! Hi mama's baby!!!" I said giving him kisses all over his face.

"Maaa!" He said giggling with a big smile plastered on his face holding onto my neck.

Ugh! He is my happy place!

"We ordered already, you still like that Alfredo right?"

I took my seat and so did he.

"Yes of course! You got that for me?"

"Yea I did, is that gonna be good for you?"

"I haven't had it in a long time since my diet has changed."

"Well you better make today your cheat day." He laughed.

Caiden was very occupied with his toys and crayons and not paying us any attention so I went on in for the kill.

"Okay, first I'd like to say thank you for taking the time out to meet up with me. I really do appreciate it...what I'm about to say to you I don't want you to take it the wrong way or get upset because I'm bringing it up again, but it's all apart of what needs to be said." I paused.

"I'm listening.." He said.

"I forgive you for everything that you've done to me in our past. I'm actually glad that it happened the way that it did because it made me realize and understand where my life was heading and what my purpose is in life. I came to the conclusion of what my focus should be as well as my destiny and I'm willing to work things out. Not only with regaining a friendship, but us being cordial with one another for the sake of our baby son. He is getting older and will began to notice the little things, especially the pointless arguments that we have had. I just ask that before you get serious with any other female that you feel is "girlfriend material" to at least let me meet her first if you feel comfortable or let her know off the rip what it is so that she knows that I don't play about my son....I want you to know that I'm done with all the childishness, having your mom or dad drop OUR baby off to you or you picking him up from my parents house all because I don't want you to see where I live. You have got to understand that I was still in the process of healing and I was only keeping our child away from you because I knew that it would hurt you. You're a great father Trey and I really do love seeing how amazing the two of you interact with one another. I'm sorry that I wasn't good enough for you or whatever it was, it's whatever now I'm just past it all and ready for the better, the new and approved us...I know we are more than capable of making it happen...."

Once I got all of what I had to say out, I didn't notice that I had tears running down my face.

I ain't no punk, this is just a really hard situation for me.

"Wow, that was a lot for me to take in. I can say how sorry I am for how many times I hurt you, but I'm not gonna keep saying it because like you said we need to move past this and we definitely will. I know you aren't putting all the blame me and even if you were I'd still take full responsibility for my actions. I respect everything you said, I really appreciate you. You gave me everything a man could ask for plus more and I will forever love you for it all. I was real hurt and begging everyone to tell you to let me see Caiden which was selfish on my part now that I realize it. I wasn't thinking about how you were feeling nor the pain you were going through.
