Chapter Seventeen

"There's something about a women with a loud mind that sits in silence, smiling knowing she can crush you with the truth."

After staying one night in a dusty, stuffy motel, I was missing my own apartment terribly. Once I get my job back, I will be working towards my very own house again. I didn't bother making breakfast, I just got out of the motel quickly and walked my way to the department. 

As I walked through the front door, all the stand byers eyes were on me. Looks of hatred and distrust lingered on me as I walked through the halls. Maybe this was a bad idea? How was I suppose to get back on the towns good graces, I couldn't have them think I was the killer. 

Picking my pace up, I walk to the office of where my old boss works. "Here goes nothing." I whispered to myself as I grew nervous. I was hoping that my small little white lie wouldn't be exposed. 

Taking a deep breath I raise my knuckles and lightly knock on the door. "Come in." A deep voice answered a second later. Grabbing the handle I slowly open the door and make my way inside. "Ahh, Bianca. Nice to see you again." Henry, the boss greets sarcastically. I immediately close the door and look behind me to see Henry and Kade. 

"Hello." I mumbled miserably, mentally slapping myself for my greeting. "Take a seat." Henry pointed to an empty seat next to Kade. I lowered myself into the seat and glanced at Kade. He had his head down as if he had been scolded by the big man. The thought almost made me want to laugh.

"So I've been let known that you know about Kade's little secret." Henry stated as his beaded little eyes stared at me. "Yes." I declared, my nervousness fading away. "Tell me what you know." He demanded as he leaned forward. I glanced over to Kade who was now staring at me. 

"I know that Kade has been gathering young adults for years and tricking them into going to the camp. He will pressure them into drinking and doing drugs so they can get wasted. He will leave before midnight, just in time for the slaughtering to begin." I explained as I looked at Kade the whole time. Did Henry know about this? Was this all his idea?

Henry looked at me, debating with himself. "How could you possible know that he has been doing it for years?" Henry asked me, leaning back in his chair. I didn't miss the glare he sent towards Kade. 

"Before I tell you anything else. I want some answers and my job back." I declared, not wanting to be screwed over in anyway. "What makes you think you can demand anything!?" Henry snapped as he stood up, causing me to stand up as well.

"Because I got proof of what Kade has been doing these past years!" I snap back, telling my lie that will either make or break my career. "If I don't get what I want, this whole town will know what is going on, I'll make sure of it." I stated with a smirk as I place my hands on the desk and lean forward.

"Fine you want your job back, you got it." Henry stated with a sigh as he rubbed his temples. "Really?" I asked leaning back. I wasn't expecting it to be that easy.

"But first we need to turn the tables on that girl who survived the latest killings." Henry declared earning a confused look from me and a nod from Kade. "What's that suppose to mean?" I asked.

"I can't have an officer who is distrusted by the whole town. We need to put the blame on someone else." Henry declared, causing my eyes to widened. "What?! No way, I can't do that to an innocent person!" I shouted. They can't be serious about this!

"You can and you will if you want your job back!" Henry snapped. "Bianca we can't have a cop who is hated by the whole town, we need to fix it by putting the blame on that girl." Kade stated more calmly, I only sighed and looked down, not knowing what to say.

"You will be Kade's new partner." Henry declared with an sinister smile. "What!" "What!?" Kade and I yelled at the same time, staring at Henry as if he grew two heads.

"If she wants her job back, she'll have to work with you. She is apart of all of this now." Henry declared more to Kade then me. I didn't want to be apart of their little secret of killing people.

"Now Bianca, go wait outside. We are about to an interview with the press." Henry said as he wave towards the door. "Oh and Bianca." Henry stops me before I could leave the office.

"I know you stole the mask back, we will talk about that later." Henry stated, causing me to swallow down the lump that was forming in my throat. "Oh shit, busted." I mumbled under my breath as I closed the door behind me.

"You can't be serious about getting her back on the force Henry, she'll ruin everything for us!" Kade snaps as he gets up from his seat.

"Don't worry Kade, we'll get raid of her soon enough. It's all part of the plan." Henry declared with a smirk as he leaned back in his chair.
