After a brief amount of time past, I came to the conclusion Ella must have deprived as a child.

Deprived of a younger sibling to torment, preferably a little sister.

I thought putting on the blue dress would be enough to satisfy her, but no, she then decided to try to curl my hair. I tried to warn  her my wouldn't curl-my mother always said it was the Native American blood in me-but she was confident it could be done. But, of course, I was right. She tried a few different techniques, but all she manage to do was put a slight wave in my hair,  which I really liked, surprisingly. It made my hair look thicker, with a pretty shine to it.

She made me try on many more dresses, though she decided the one she liked best on me was one similar to the baby blue one but deep red. "This would be perfect on you. You could wear it to the Hannover's dinner party."

"I don't believe I was invited to a dinner party." I said confused.

"Oh, you'll be my guest. Don't worry, the Hannover's invite everyone to these sorts of things, and they enjoy seeing a few new faces." She smiled. "Not to mention, women must be introduced, it's very hard to meet people properly without being introduced by someone."

I wasn't what you would call sold on the idea of pretty much crashing a party and knowing no one but Ella. She was a nice girl,  but  being in large groups of people made me extremely nervous. I tried as politely as I could to decline, but, as I had learned early on, Arabella Denison was a very determined person, and for some reason she was determined to get me to go to this party.

The party was tomorrow and Ella and I spent a vainly large part of the day picking out accessories to go with our dress from her massive closet. It was like the juniors dept. of Target in Victorian times.

In other words, it was amazing. I noticed if I didn't say I liked something right away, she would tell me  how much Aaron would like it, not that that enticed me  in the least to the powder  blue rosettes or the giant red  stone in the middle of a gaudy necklace.  It would seem Aaron's favorite colors were red and light blue. Coincidence? I think not.

Even though I denied any interest in Aaron, thought she didn't really believe me.

Ella told me a great deal about him.

Aaron is  twenty-years-old. He enjoys polo and parties, and he hates cabbage and caviar. His parent sent  him to boarding school when he was 13-he was educated by his governess before that-where he made top marks in all his classes. He just graduated from Oxford a little over a year ago, and he had investments in some trading companies  overseas-which apparently earned him alot of  money, since Ella told me his house is bigger than hers.

She also said he was a kind-hearted gentleman, and he had a great sense of humor. We both  laughed at some of the practical jokes he pulled-all harmless, of course.

I was really beginning to like Ella, alot. Like a sister. I ended up going to bed early, afterall, I had , had a long day.
