I Dont own Ace Attorney or its characters, Capcom does!

HEYA PEOPLE!!! I haven't updated this in a LOOONNG time. I still love Ace Attorney of course (duh) but since it was my first and not my best, I mostly forgot about it. Recently I got a message asking me when I was going to update it, and that's the reason why I'm upadting it now. I promise it will be FAR better than the first chapter because I was kinda...well, bad at writing before. BUT TEH PAST IS IN TEH PAST >:D The first part of this chapter is a flashback of when Miles was 6 (3 years before this fanfic takes place). The second part is present day when Miles was nine. Miles met Von Karma at age 6, though had never seen him in court until last chapter/when he was age 9. When Miles's father says "I forgot Von Karma will be there. This won't end up like the DL-6 incident, but it will show a small story about Miles & Gregory's father and son fluff, Von Karma's meaness, and the importance of family. :D

WARNING!!!: This fiction contains a grown man hitting a child , but no swearing. The fic overall can be rated PG, but I wouldn't recommend reading this if you're 10 or under, though you really shouldn't have played Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney as it's a 12+ game XD. So enjoy the fic! <3 Kaylin P.S Im thinking about starting a YouTube channel of me reviewing video games, anime clothes / outfits, figurines, etc. for the fun side, I will do stopmotions using the figurines, let's play's, vlogs, and cosplay tips + ideas. The channel will either be the name of my wattpad account (CottonCandySoda) or Cotton Candy Kay. The thumbnail will be Kay Faraday from Ace Attorney holding cotton candy. XD Anyways, enjoy!

Six year old Miles Edgeworth sat himself in one of the Court Room Lobby's chairs. His father had just finished a trial & had won it. Miles couldn't have been more proud to know his father was one of the best attorneys around. His attention was focused on a older man, who was dressed in rich & elegant clothing (Miles envied his suit and cravat). He walked with a refined air as if everyone else in the room was beneath him, which Miles did not admire or envy. His father was most likely talking to a friend or perhaps the defendant. Miles decided he would read his favorite book which he had brought with him. He did enjoy literature (much to the astonishment of everyone around him), but he also enjoyed law books or older case files Father let him borrow from his study. He opened a book about Techniques in Court & slowly began to read the Preface & Introduction(which he never skipped, he didn't want to be without info) of the book. His father had gotten it for a early 7th birthday present, and it had been the beautiful gold & dark red edition, or as Miles liked to call it, 'Wine Red'. He treasured more than almost anything he owned; it had been quite expensive. He heard footsteps echoing in his direction so he raised his head to see who it was. He refrained from scowling as he glanced it the old man he had met earlier's eyes. The man was starring at him, but not scowling as he had before. Miles politely stood up and extended his right hand to the man, who just glanced at it. "Hello, sir. I'm Miles Edgeworth. Please to meet you." Miles said as polite as he could, which had gotten him many things (to his dismay) because of his tone. The man raised an eyebrow, surprised by the young boy's grammar, politeness, the book he was reading, and of course his attire. Miles waited for the man to answer, but was beginning to feel slightly awkward. "Miles!" He heard his father call. A wave of relief & joy flooded Miles's heart as he rushed over to his father, completely forgetting about the old man, who had resumed glaring. His father noticed the old man behind Miles and raised an eyebrow, seemingly surprised. "Oh, Mr.Von Karma. I didn't know you were going to be here." He glanced at Miles and smiled again. "It seems you've already met Miles, so is there anything else you'd like to discuss?" Von Karma, as Miles had learned his name was, crossed his arms. "In your office, there is something I am interested in discussing with you Edgeworth." Mr.Edgeworth nodded, and then smiled warmly at Miles, who was clutching the Techniques in Court book. "Let's go, Miles! Wouldn't want to be late for my famous cooking, now would you?" Miles rolled his eyes. "But Father! You're terrible at cooking!" Mr.Edgeworth pretended to be deeply hurt by this 'Accusation', thought there was a twinkle in his eyes. His son was already accusing the 'guilty'!
