Hey guys! Thanks so much for reading! Comment and lemme know whatcha think? Much love.x

'Ding!' I hear the sound of the little bell at the top of Bob's Breakfast cafe. The smell of bacon and eggs blew in my direction from the kitchen, then I remembered I haven't eaten breakfast.

"Morning!" I yell at the top of my lungs over the banging of pans in the kitchen.

"Morning Jonah!" Sadie says whipping past me with an arm full of salt and pepper shakers. I take my apron off the hook in the supply closet and tie it around my waste. I adjust my zip up; no hood grey jacket from Pink, it could be quite chilly in the mornings in California. I put my head phones in and my white iphone in my jacket pocket, my favorite song came on. 'I won't give up on us' by Jason Marazz. I walked over to the counter and grabbed a damp towel and made my way to the outdoor, side porch. The smell of salt water filled my nose and eyes, the cafe was on one of the streets leading down to the beach, so it was a steep way down. When eating on the porch you could see the ocean perfectly. I started wiping down chairs and tables while getting lost in the song. I began singing quietly...

"I won't give up on us, even if the sky's get rough..I'm still lookin' u-up."

"You have a beautiful voice but you know the rules." I hear a familiar voice. I turn around and see my manager Trey looking at me. I give him an 'I know' smirk and pull out my headphones and stuff them in my pocket along with my phone.

"It's a stupid rule." I mumble annoyed.

"Hey, I don't make the rules." He says putting his hands up. I smile and push him playfully walking back inside.

"Hey! You just broke another rule; no PDA with co-workers!" He yells.

"In your dreams!" I yell not turning around. I pull open the door and step back inside. Lizze has arrived and was talking up a storm with Saddie at the check out counter.

"Hey girly's." I say walking up.

"Wazzup, you comin' tonight?" Lizze says leaning her elbows on the counter. I looked at my friend, she wasn't my best friend but defiantly a good one. she had long, light brown, strait hair and had a light tan and was a bit taller than me. She was pretty and had many boyfriends. Not that I didn't have any. My friends say I'm gorgeous and so do all the guys. Sometimes it can be a bit of a drag when they're always asking you out for your looks but don't even care if they know my name. I date, but not just anyone. They have to be special and I just haven't quite found that guy. My friends are always trying to set me up and I end up having to let them down lightly. My thoughts break as I hear someone calling my name.

"Jonah, Jonah, Jonah" I feel someone shaking me.

"Y-yes." I say snapping out of my little wworld.

"Stop doing that!" Sadie snaps with a laugh.

"Get to work ladies!" Trey snaps whizzing past us. We nod and all go in different directions to our section of tables. The morning breakfast rush can get super crazy and it takes the hole crew to get it going. The crew is: Me, Sadie, Lizzie, Trey, Jeff, the chefs and Maddy- who is late as always. Jeff arrived just on time running through the door.

"I'm here, I'm here!" He yells running into the supply closet. Jeff is my only guy friend, he never flirts or anything. It's nice just to have him around.

"You cut it close." I say raising my eye brows and giving him an 'I'm watching you' kind of look.

"Don't give me that look Carlton! Madison is late!" He whined. I shrugged...it was normal. The morning rush began and I was left saving Maddy's butt by taking over her shift.
