Psalm 26 of David.
A letter of address written to and in honor of one of my favorite bands and how it helped me cope with many things I endured during the lowest points of my life. The band Iron Maiden and the song of my choice is Judgment of Heaven.
Interpretations of songs can be a powerful in the mist of someone else's trials and tribulations. They give us hope; they talk to our inner soul and they spin webs of love from within. When walking a lonely road it is tough to talk to your peers, your family, and your community when everyone is telling you that a doctor of the mind is needed. Where is the one who sits with you in the hour of emotions that are all crumbled and a big bunched up mess? Mine is the spirits that speak in the winds, the trees, the beauty in the skies, and the constant of knowing that the musicians carry out the words of art that can only be heard in the heart of every humane being.
I love music. The energy of the voices and the instruments when played correctly talk to through vibrations as they encrypt the strings of attachment and that is why I listen them without judgment. If you've ever talked to the IKTOMI they would tell you that they see everything that is all around. They make it appoint to tell you your fears and desires. They call your fortune like they see them and never look back for you to understand.
When I first became a fan of Iron Maiden's music... the artistic paintings on the covers of CD's and vinyl records de-tour-ed me from really listening to the words that were there. When I stopped to listen I found myself falling in love with the lyrics that became my strength and rock to stand tall with honor and respect. That whole theory that parents teach us growing up about how not to judge a book by its cover became a reality in every way possible.
I can be screamimg on the inside with 666 things I want to be compelled to say and then I bite my tongue with the 667 reasons that would have voided my right to say anything at all. However, I am a fighter and have been since I was an infant and would love just once in my lifetime to say I actually tried with my entire being for what I thought was correct/right. The problem is where to begin with the story of a lifetime. Mainly because everyone has a story; how do we know what is the justice of that person's journey unless it is seen, heard, or even believed?
"Reaching out for help to anyone" those are the lyrics aren't they? Take a look into the consideration that one person is insignificant; but many contain the rights to be significant. We are still fighting for our freedoms right justice to be who we are. Only in my story we are justice trying to find our own place in this world.
