it wasn't supposed to end up this way for taehyung. he had a good childhood, loving parents, loving family in general. high school was okay too. he always questioned why he turned out like this. nothing bad happened, he was always told he looked good, handsome, pretty, whatever compliment people could come up with. he went out with a few women, but always ended whatever they had before they ever thought it was serious. he just couldn't stand to be in serious relationships in high school, no one interested him anyways.
taehyung was currently sitting in his favourite cafe, writing his paper on american literature, although he lived in south korea. jeongguk, the waiter, brought him his chai tea latte. jeongguk always made time to have a conversation with taehyung, always trying to put a smile on his face. he did, but only once in a while did he get a real smile, one that showed off taehyungs beautiful box smile.
"hey taehyung! how are you today?" jeongguk asked. taehyung could hear how genuine the question was, as if jeongguk actually cared to know how he was doing, like he did everyday he came in.
"i'm doing fine, how are you jeongguk?"
"i'm doing pretty well, thank you for asking! mind if i join you?" taehyung shook his head, gesturing for the brunette to take the seat across from him. jeongguk took the seat respectively while trying not to bump anything of importance on the table. "whatcha working on?" he asks.
"i'm working on my paper for american lit, it's a pain in the ass though since the professor wants it to be five pages long." taehyung said in response. jeongguk made your generic 'oh' face as he shook his head in understanding.
"so um, i was wondering if you would ever consider hanging out?" taehyung comically looked up from his laptop, jeongguk rubbing his nape and blushing.
"i-" he started to say.
"jeongguk we have orders!" his boss called out, cutting taehyung off. he sighed and said he'll be back in just a minute before helping other costumers. taehyung gazed at the clock and gasped, he had to get back home before it got too late since his apartment building wasn't in the nicest of neighbourhoods. he quickly pulled out a post it note and wrote down his number and for jeongguk to text him and left him a 25% tip.
jeongguk went back over to the table just to find him gone, he frowned but then saw the note and tip he left for him. he smiled so wide he could barely see. he had finally gotten taehyungs number, what a great day it was.
