there's a moon on the hill. it is heavy gold, but it will not drop. it looks at me and its gaze does not waver. not accusatory. not tired. not sad. it looks across this way peacefully, satisfied. it holds the night and seems to rest its friendly chin on its hands tonight, ready to close its mind to my flirty thoughts of you.
