Liza was tired. Spitting out verses of prophecy was always very draining.
Sam was angry. At being tricked and lied to and manipulated.
She fired another bullet into her makeshift target, growling as she missed it completely I'm getting out of practice. she griped forlornly.
She climbed back into her car. Might as well do some research on The Coven.
The sisters of Elmswood are a coven that has existed for the last two hundred years.
Founded by Elizabeth Moors. To this day run by her desendants.
Current head Persephone Moors.
Sam shook her head to clear it as she stared at her computer screen. That explains Madame Persephone then. She must be bringing those girls into the coven!
Liza glanced lazily at the thick tome she had opened. The words swam before her eyes.
She sobbed softly into the worn robe she was wearing. It was a deep shade of violent purple, with hems of gold silk.
She sobbed harder.
Not even the contents of her music playlist could calm her. I scared Sam. She must hate me now. I really did think we could be friends!
Sam rubbed the smeared red lipstick that dotted her mouth. Her mind moved a mile a minute as her hands sluggishly tore out the thirty- plus bobby pins littered throughout her golden coronet of bright blond hair.
Liza had wanted so, so badly to apologize to Sam. Sam would not understand. How do you tell someone "Hi I'm an immortal witch who just had what looked like a seizure. But don't worry, that was just me foretelling the future of the coven and possibly the world! Nothing to worry about, just a regular thing!" Yeah like that would work.
Sam felt nothing.
She just wanted to end her little hunting exertion while she had the chance.
She was in much to deep now to get out without any help.
She picked up the phone and dialed a number.
Fall Out Boy's Alone Together played on Liza's phone, Liza looked down at the call display to see a name. Sam Woodrow.
"Liza," Sam piped " hi...." she paused " I know what you are." Liza froze. " It's alright with me if you don't wanna talk. But I think we need to."
Liza spoke at last, "Meet me at the gates."
Sam drove the route up to Elmswood, humming all the way. Fall Out Boy played while she was driving. I don't care what you think as long as it's about me, the best of us can find happiness in misery. I don't care, I don't caaaarrreee!
Sam smiled as it plays out the last riffs. Let her not hate me, Sam, begged internally.
When Sam arrived at the manor house's wrought iron gates, and waited.
Liza came sprinting out, curls bouncing. "We need to go!" Liza huffed.
Sam popped open the car door, and Liza climbed in.
"You're not human." Sam stated, like it was not a question but instead a fact.
"No, I'm not. But you already knew that." Liza accused.
"I did." Sam said.
"I fight things like you, y'know." Sam muttered under her breath.
Liza gasped. Samantha is a hunter? she realized.
"Madame Moors is evil!" Liza cried out at last. "She said she was good, but I caught her and some of the older girls practicing a demonic rite!"
"And you don't?" Sam considered.
"That woman," Liza said with distaste, " is trying to summon an entity that will kill us all!"
Sam started the car, "Do you know how we can stop them?"
"Soon." Liza promised. "Soon."
"That fortune you spat out earlier," Sam asked " what was it about?"
"I haven't the slightest clue." Liza told her, shame written all over her face.
"Can I stay at your house tonight?" Liza begged.
"You my dear Liza," Sam said with false formality "are already there."
"OHHHHHH" Liza gasped "that actually makes a lot of sense."
"You can sleep in here though, if ya' really want."
"Thank you Sammy." Liza said gratefully " can I call you that?"
"No." Sam ordered with finality.(A/N: that was alot! Thanks for reading! See you next week! Bye loves!
