-Connor's POV-
I lie in bed alone, lying on my side and holding one of my pillows close to my chest. I missed Cassidy. Terribly. And it all went wrong because I couldn't find time for her.
"I'm sorry, Cass," I apologized sincerely. I was in the front hallway, one hand holding my phone up to my ear and the other pressed up against my ear to block out the noise my friends, Sam, JC, Ricky, Trevor, and Kian, were making in the room just down the hall. I was pacing back and forth.
"Sorry doesn't cut it this time, Connor," Her voice sounded on the other end of the line. "This is the fourth time we've had to reschedule. Fourth time."
"I-I know," I stuttered as I ran my fingers through my hair, "And I can't tell you how sorry I am."
There was a pause of silence before Cassidy replied, "I know, Connor. I know. But it's not even that we have to reschedule. It's that it's our one year anniversary date and you've missed it time and time again to hang out with those...those friends of yours."
"They have names..."
"It doesn't matter! I'm busy too, but that doesn't stop me from taking time out of my schedule to spend time with you!"
I sighed, "Cassidy, you know-"
"Whatever. I'll see you when you get home. Okay?" And with that, she hung up. I dropped my arms to my sides and rested my head back on the wall.
"Come on, Connor!" I heard JC call out to me from the room he and our other friends were in. I peeled myself off of the wall and walked into the room to find the five of them debating over what this week's theme was going to be. I plopped down beside JC. He looked over at me, "Is everything okay?"
I shook my head and leaned back into the couch, "Yeah. It's nothing. Don't worry about it."

I walked through the front door of the apartment that night and found all the lights off. I assumed Cassidy was just in bed. I mean, it was nearly two in the morning. I laid my coat over the arm of the couch and walked into the kitchen, opening the fridge and getting a water out. I downed that before walking into the bedroom hallway and opening our bedroom door.
"Cassidy?" I whispered.
I turned the light on to find the room completely deserted. The bed was a mess (not that either Cassidy or I made the bed regularly...unless I was doing a vlog). The dresser drawers were opened and emptied of her clothes. The closet doors were wide open and nearly half of the closet was cleared out, only my tops and bottoms remained.
"Cassidy?" I called her name again before walking out of the bedroom and walking through the entire apartment, and even the building - checking the laundry room and recreation room. Anywhere she might've been. She was no where to be found.
"Cassidy!?!"
The day after, I called her and she told me she's sorry I had to find out like that. She just couldn't take it anymore - waiting for me to find time for her. She then told me she moved back in with her friend, Carter. I tried to convince her to come back, telling her I would change and find more time to spend with her, but she wouldn't buy it. We hung up and that was the end of it. I became depressed, sad, and lonely. Nothing would make me happy. Not my fans, not my friends, nothing. The only thing that made me happy was her.
So about four months after our breakup, I decided one day that I would go and talk to her. I told her what was going on, how I was sorry and wanted her to give me a second chance. But the talk just ended with her in tears and me feeling worse than ever before.
The depression became worse and I what I had to do - quit Our Second Life. I thought if I did that, everything would go back to normal. I would be happy and Cassidy and I would be happily together. But everything didn't go back to normal. I was still unhappy and Cassidy refused to give me a second chance.
I chucked the pillow at the wall across from me out of anger and rolled onto my back, staring at the ceiling as tears began to form in my eyes. I blinked them away and covered my face with my hands.
