the sacrifice

I stayed in the den for a while. but I heard foot steps coming closer I couldn't sleep or run. I was to weak but as the foot steps came closer I started to go deeper in the den until I heard somebody saying,

hey kid . get out of my den...

I looked to see what it was but I could see nothing so I thought it was safe. but I was still scared of  who ever said that until I heard it again,

kid! ! your stepping on my tail!!

I looked down and it was a rat...but in such big den??. I was confuse and started talking to him,

sorry mr...

please call me mr ray

ok and is this your den?

well yeah it is, it took me along time to build this

I was gald that he was frindly. he said to me that I can stay a few nights but hes going to hibornate pretty soon so he needs his space and I agreed.

the next day he brought me food idk how he got it since his small but I dint care at the time.  I was so hungry I could eat enything. then he started to talk to me,

um kid? a...r..e you a wolf?

yes I think so

good I need proctecters, and I was thinking will you be mine?

uh....im still little and my skills..are not that good

he frown but I couldn't stand seeing him so sad. so I said* yes* we got out of his den and come to weird lokking forest I was watching out for predectors while he gets food. but I looked to my left and saw the barn!!

I got so happy I just wanted to run towards it. but I need to wait for ms owl and for mr ray to finish picking up food.

I waited and he finally finish he got in the den and told me to stand out side for a minute. then I saw ms owl she was flying toward me. she landed in front of me and say,

in back kido everything is over know

you need to come with me.

she picked me up with her claws she was redy to fly until I said* whait!*she looked at me and I said,

whait I need to say good bye to mr ray

whos mr ray?

mr ray came out he had a gift in his tiny hands. but ms owl looked at him and say,

rat!!!!

whait, no!!

I was to late she picked him up and eat his head and body. the gift droop out of his hand and landed on my paw it was a piace of chesse and a letter I read the letter

DEAR, WOLF

I put down the letter and started to cry. ms owl came to me and said,

I...im sorry I dint know...

I looked at her still crying and said *is ok youst...take me home..*. she picked me  up and started flying. along the way I saw the den far oway and just wish I could go back with mr ray but alive...
