StarLight

"Laney do not go done there again young lady" my momed yelled as I ran to my room in tears how could people do this to us, to me, to StarLight my bestfriend well not anymore I guess you could say.

*Flash Back*

"StarLight, StarLight" I cheered as I ran down the sandy path of the hill leading to the beach I have spent everyday of my life since I was 8, it's kinda of like my own little space that no one knows about since it is in my own backyard.

I make it to the beatiful crystal blue ocean line spliting the sand into the unexplored wonders of the water. I sighed as I saw the trash floating to the shore hitting my bare feet since I had taken off my dark blue flip flop.

I looked down at my feet to see little creatures crawling around near them as I wiggled my toes graving their attention and bringing them towards me. The sun shone into in my eyes as I looked up towards the clouds that are as big and fluffy as marshmallows.

I found one that kinda looked liked StarLight and I remembered what I had actually came here for. I turned my head from left to right searching for my bestfriend StarLight my beautiful special dolfin that will always be my only friend.

In the distance I saw a lump of a blur laying in the sand I had to squint through the sun to see it more clearly but I still couldn't make it out. So being the curious and young girl I am, I stupidly decided to go towards it so I turned to my left and jogged a slow pace in the direction of the blur.

The closer I got to it the more I could see it was small but if I laid down beside it the blur would be longer. I jogged faster as the hot sun beamed down on me and a drop of sweat fell down my forehead. I didn't really care since I was starting to get a little more worried that something may be the matter.

Reaching the thing that I used to think was just a blur my eyes filled with hot tears bluring out the dolfin that lay on the sand. I recognised the white dot around her eye and black dots on her back, this was my bestfriend the one that got me through so much with family, friends, school, anything she was there and she may not have been able to understand my long rambled sentences but I didn't care I would lay in the water on a dark green float while she swam around my crying and shaky figure each time I needed a friend.

I covered my face and fell into the now cold sand behind me. The earth seems so alive compared to my mind and mood but soon we will be the same both sad and alone.
