The light pink color of his costume contrasted beautifully with his tan skin.
Tae gracefully moved his body to the music, feet aching in pain as he put all of his body weight on one foot. He brushed it off though, continuing to dance, mesmerizing the crowd filled with powerful businessmen.
He swiftly spun, his pointe shoe being the only thing touching the ground.
Tae was preforming at a business party, filled with only the best of the best. Jisoo was of course one of them, sipping on the expensive red wine as he watched his boyfriend.
He looked bored while his eyes followed Tae, he had seen him dance many times but never understood why people found it so pretty.
Tae's dance soon ended, body drained of energy as the lights on the stage when off and the room echoed loudly with clapping and hollering.
He walked off, wanting to whimper out in pain. He ran to one of the fancy bathrooms, dancers and other entertainers were lined up either in bathroom stalls or at the sinks, fixing their outfits and makeup.
Tae's face felt plastered on, the makeup clogging his pores making him feel stiff. He quickly occupied one of the empty large stalls, his bag in hand. He slipped off his pointe shoes, hands shaking while taking in the image of his wrecked feet.
He took the bandages off, revealing purple blemishes covering his toes, blisters, and bunions covering his small feet.
He quickly took his costume off, needing to hide his ugly feet as quickly as possible. Once he had change into the long silky dress that clung to curvy body, he put on tennis shoes, the dress long enough to cover the shoes and his insecurities.
He slowly walked out of the stall, placing his bag on the counter and taking off the pound of stage makeup, washing his face until he saw himself in the reflection.
Other Ballerinas whispered about him, jealous that a male was one of the best pointe dancers at the moment, thus making him a principal dancer.
Tae had traveled around the US for two years, preforming and making people swoon, until he met Jisoo. He settled down where his ballet career started, New York City, and never took a break from dancing. Even during off season he was training his heart out, trying to get better and better.
Tae dried his face off then applied deep red lipstick and highlighter before walking out of the bathroom.
He made his way towards the main dining hall where men were either watching the entertainment or chatting with each other.
He spotted his boyfriend, Jisoo, sitting at a white cloth table talking with a business partner. He approached them, small smile on his face.
"Oh Tae!" The other male yelled, "your dance was amazing, truly one of the prettiest things I've ever seen."
"T-Thank you," Tae stuttered while bowing down a little. Jisoo sighed annoyingly, he was just trying to make some business moves but Tae had to interrupt.
"Honey," Jisoo said, voice a little harsh, "do you wanna go get some snacks?" Tae looked down at his boyfriend, trying to read his face.
"I- uh yeah," Tae smiled, "I'll be back," He turned around, walking on injured feet, hobbling to the table filled with fruits and greens.
His beautiful chocolate filled eyes were laced with tears, causing the lights to reflect beautifully. Tae quickly wiped his eye as a tear spilled over, trailing down the top of his cheek. Things had been getting a little rocky with Jisoo lately. Tae often wondered if he truly knew his boyfriend.
"Hey," a husky disembodied voice said next to Tae, "are you okay?" He looked up at the deep doe eyes, that were strong yet soft. His eyebrows were furrowed in concern, his umber colored hair was dusting over his forehead.
"Sorry," Tae whispered out towards the handsome man that made his cheeks pink, "my feet just really hurt." Tae lied through his teeth. Being a ballet dancer, you get used to the aches and soreness of your feet. In fact if they don't hurt than you know something is wrong.
The man looked down at Tae feet that were covered up by his dress. His doe eyes spotted a white shoe lace peaking out from under the tan silky dress.
He chuckled while crouching down, startling Tae a bit. He slipped his hand under Tae's dress, making sure to keep the tennis shoes hidden as he tied the laces.
"You're that Ballerina right?" He asked, looking in Tae's captivating eyes while he nodded, "you looked beautiful up there but, make sure you take care of these pretty feet, they're important." He smiled at the end as he stood up, towering over Tae.
Tae felt his body go stiff, nobody had ever called his loathsome feet pretty before. His mouth hung open a bit, making him look like a lost puppy.
"T-Thank y-you," Tae stuttered out thickly, making the man laugh beautifully at his reply.
"Have a goodnight," he said with a light voice from laughing, he walked away after bowing slightly.
"B-Bye," Tae stuttered out softly, knowing the man couldn't hear him.
