28. "I-I, I don't wanna die..."

"No." Hayoon suddenly spoke. She turned to her friend again. "We have to go, remember? We would go to that party." Then she looked at you again. "We still have to prepare things."

She stood up but her friend wanted to stay.

"Hayoon, just sit down. I want to know who raped me, what-what if it wasn't Jungkook?" Alicia almost wanted to cry again and swallowed her tears. "I have to know."

Hayoon wasn't going to change her mind and pulled her friend up from the chair. "We're going." She commanded and she pulled her friend along.

Then you just sat there, staring at the girls who walked away. The witnesses...

You hit the table with your fists. "Shit." You mumbled.

But you have to find out and help Jungkook.

So you stood up and ran after the girls. They were already outside and seemed to be waiting for someone. Hayoon spoke angry to her friend while Alicia defended herself vehemently.️

You ran out of the libary, back into the snow. "Girls, please wait, I have to know-"

"JUST SHUT YOUR DIRTY MOUTH!!" Hayoon shouted suddenly and you took a step back. "You just make it worse!" She held her friend's arm.

Carefully you made a few steps towards them. "Please" You begged them, but Hayoon shook her head. Tears began to roll down her cheeks.

"I-I, I don't wanna die." She said almost not hearable but luckily you heard it clearly enough.

You raised an eyebrow in amazement. "What? Why would you die?" You asked and you stood for the girls.

Hayoon hid her face in her hands. "I have already said too much! They're going to kill me!" Her friend hugged her.

"Who Hayoon? Who are going to kill you?" You were desperate for an answer.

The girl shook her head again. "I can't tell you." She seemed so scared and began to shake.

Then Alicia looked your way. "I think she means-"

"NO! DON'T TELL HER!" She screamed and placed her hand on Alicia's mouth.

Suddenly you felt a hand on your shoulder. "What's going on?"

Alicia and Hayoon looked at the person behind you with open mouth. Alicia immediately got a blush on her face. "J-Jungkook?"

You turned around and pulled him next to you. "They're scared Jungkook." You explained.

Jungkook nodded. "Then I'll go, I'm sorry, ladies." He wanted to turn around and walk away again, but Alicia spoke.

"Jungkook... why did you do it?" She asked, she was also desperate for the truth. Actually, everyone was, but it seemed like only Hayoon knew the answer. At least, that's what they thought.

Jungkook turned back when he heard the girl and looked at you and then at Alicia. "I didn't ... I don't know why you think I did such a horrible thing." His voice was soft and your heart broke when you looked at him.

His brown eyes always so light-giving and challenging looked sad to the ground. "I don't wanna hurt anybody..." he said last and then he walked away.

Shoulders and head down.

You wiped away a tear when you saw him so defeated.

When you looked at the girls again, you saw that they were also impressed by Jungkook's words.

"Jungkook has to go to prison tomorrow," they were shocked for a moment. "That's why I want to know everything so quickly."

You walked to Hayoon and took her hands. "Please, just tell me a name, a adress, J will find the boy who threatened you." You looked deep into her eyes and stroked with youd thumb gently over the back of her hand.
