The Contest

Chapter 15

*Maria's P.O.V.*

After a few minutes I was better so I get up, I had to find Louis and tell him the truth.

"Where are you going?" Harry asks. Niall gets up too and grabs my hand.

"You have to stay here waiting for Louis and Zayn"

"No Niall, I have to find him. I caused this..." Then suddently there was a click"I know where he is!" I felt so happy that I just got out running, I  didn't even took my purse.

The wind on my face and legs while running, I started crying again.

I was almost there and I could feel the smell of the woods, so I ran faster.

I was already in pain, I was almost giving up when I finally saw it, the small lake and the small hole on the rock, big enough for one person to pass. Louis talked about this the other day. I remember laughing and say that it was like a John Green's book, he didn't know who John Green was.

I walk and when I get there, I get in.

He wasn't there but I could see some light coming from the opposite side I got in. I follow that light and when I get out I see something beautiful, that's a small cliff with only a few meters. Down there are lots of colours, I look better and those colours are flowers, lots of them. There are a lot all around me, they're everywhere, lots of types, colours and sizes. It is so perfect, after a few minutes looking at everything around me to remember it all when I'm old I get back to try to find Louis.

I only can walk side by side with the cliff but I have to choose, right or left? I went to the left but I quickly came to the end of the floor where I could walk so I turned around to go to the right. I walked for 6 minutes and I saw Louis, I ran to him. He was sit on the floor looking to the flowers down on the cliff, crying.

"Louis I'm sorry..." I start.

"What are you doing here? How did you know where to find me?"

"You didn't hear me at home. I thought about our conversation the other day when you talked about this place"

"What is there to tell me?"

"I don't love Niall"

"But you said"

"I was afraid you were going to say someone else and what happened to you would happen to me"

"Bullshit! I was afraid too but I said the truth"

"I know, I know what I did was wrong but I love you! Please don't do this"

"Why would I believe you?"

"Because of this..." I get closer to him, he looks at me for the first time since we get out of his house. I get closer and kiss him, he kisses back.

I separate our mouths and ask:

"Do you believe me now?"

"I guess" He puts his forehead on mine and smiles, then puts our noses together and we get back to kiss. We stay there for almost an hour kissing talking looking at the cliff or just looking at each other and laughing.

At some point Louis sings:

 “I go crazy, ‘cause here isn't where I wanna be

And satisfaction feels like a distant memory

And I can't help myself

All I wanna hear her say is "Are you mine?"

Well, are you mine?

Are you mine?” He's singing one of my favourite songs from one of my favourite bands. OMG his voice.

“I wanna be your vacuum cleaner

breathing in your dust

I wanna be your Ford Cortina

I won't ever rust

I just wanna be yours

I just wanna be yours

I just wanna be yours” I sing in return and we stay there staring at each other for a few seconds and then Louis end up with the silence and asks:

“Was it your first kiss?”

“Yes” I answer, a bit ashamed “I could ask you the same but I already know the answer…”

“Well, it was the first kiss that meant something for me” He says.

“Bullshit!”

"..."

"We should go, boys are scared"

"Yes, let's go!"

"Can we do not tell them... What we've got here... I don't even know what we've got here..." I say always looking to the ground. Louis pulls me to him and says:

"I wanna be your boyfriend, you wanna be my girlfriend?"

"Sure" I kiss him and he tells me his plan for us to don't be caught.
