━ THIRTY

this is the last chapter!!

i was pacing the floor back and forth of public restroom. i took Lorin to the pier at the ocean for a small date but she doesn't know what's planned for her.

i'm so fucking horrified. i thought as i popped open the ring box and studied the diamond ring once again, sucking in a deep breath.

it was for sure she was waiting at the dock for me in the wavy, flowy white thigh short maxi dress i had bought her and the silver sandals, her hair fishtail braided.

i shoved it into my pocket and raced out of the bathroom and over to her. she turned around and smiled when she saw me walking down the pier to her.

she had taken the sandals off she was dipping her feet in the salty water, the sea spray from the crashing waves making her dress damp and her hair a bit messy, but it was cute nonetheless.

i sat down beside her and she leaned her head on my shoulder as we both stared at the beyonds of the sea.

"z, you seem uptight, are you alright?" she asks and looks up at me with those eyes. those beautiful light brown eyes i fell in love with and the twinkle they had shown off so well on that night.

"yeah, i just—." i cut myself off and shake my head before standing up, "i just need to tell you something— or more like ask." i stumble over myself and she watches me reach into my pocket and a small smile starts to crack onto her lips.

"Lorin Lopez. I swear you are the most beautiful woman i have ever met. the ocean and the view simply cannot compare to your beauty of your looks and the beauty of your character. you make me happier than i can describe and i want to wake up to your face every morning and go to bed with you there beside me at night. i want to comfort you in all your times of despair and be there to dry your tears and eventually even raise a family if you please." i say and her adorable smile spreads from cheek to cheek as she cups her face in her hands.

"so, my babygirl." i start and smile, "will you marry me?" i ask and she laughs wholesomely and stands up.

she runs over to me and kisses me on the lips, i pick her up by the waist and spin her around before kissing her again deeply and we both parted as she pushed me off the deck and into the water.

i was stunned once i came up from the water to see her there giggling and i started laughing too. i quietly swam over there and jumped up from the water, grabbing her by the waist again and pulling her into the water.

she laughed uncontrollably once she rose up and she tied her arms around my shoulders and kissed me passionately. i ran my fingers through her wet black tangled hair and we set our foreheads on one another's as we parted.

"so is that a yes, princess?" i ask.

"yes." she says.

"yes! yes! yes!"

the end! oh my goodness. this book was so fun to write and their newfound love story is just amazing and makes me so soft.
