Liam’s POV

Two weeks has passed since that awful interview where I embarrassed myself in front of millions of people, and since then people don’t stop calling me crazy. I left my house to buy some groceries once, and people stared at me like I was some sort of crazy animal from the zoo who did some shocking things to escape, or even acted like I just came from the mental hospital. I didn’t really do anything wrong. I don’t see what’s wrong in being able to see Niall’s ghost, there are a few people out there that have that ability and see more than one ghost everyday. Furthermore, some important things have happened during these two weeks, but however people still talk about the interview instead of focusing in things that matter and are actually important.  I thought people would talk about the interview for a few days then move on, but apparently I was wrong.

I decide that it will be better for me if I go out for a while. I’ll ignore the rude comments people have to make about me and enjoy myself. I’ve been crying every single day, even more now that I read some cruel comments regarding Niall’s death.  I still can’t believe how cruel and immature people can be about someone’s death. I also don’t understand why people have to hate on other people. That’s really mean, and it can hurt other’s feelings. Why can’t people be nice to each other? Everyone would be happy and the world would have more peace.

Anyways, I don’t think it’s healthy for me to cry like I do every single day. To be honest, I’m pretty impressed by the amount of water stored inside of me to form all these tears. I thought my tears would be dry by now, but apparently I was wrong, again. I should really get some fresh air and learn how to move on with my life. I’m sure Niall doesn’t like to see me cry like this all the time.

I pick up my phone from the bedside table and dial Louis’ number. I want to have some fun with the lads, just like the old times. Louis finally picks up his phone when I’m about to end the call.

“Hey Louis.” I say through the phone.

“Hey. What’s up?” He answers.

“Not much. Just wondering, would you like to hang out or something? The other lads can join us too, it would be fun.”

“I would love to, but I can’t today. I’m really sorry. My family’s coming over today, and I promised I would stay and hang out with them. I’m sorry.”

“Oh. It’s fine. Have fun!”

“Thanks! I have to go now. Bye! Talk to you soon!

“Ok. Bye!” I hang up. I dial Harry’s number next, but he doesn’t answer. I called him again, but he also didn’t answer. I sigh and give up on calling Harry. I dial Zayn’s number, praying he will be able to hang out with me.

“Hello?” His asks through the phone.

“Hey Zayn! What’s up? Just wondering, would you like to hang out with me today?”

“Sure! I’ll come over to your house in fifteen minutes.”

“Ok! See ya!” I hang up before he answers. I hurry to my bedroom and get ready. After I’m ready, I look in the mirror and for the first time since Niall died, I look decent.

As promised, Zayn knocks on my door fifteen minutes after our phone call. When I open the door, he is standing there looking at his phone. He looks really handsome, like always, wearing a black jacket, black jeans, a white T-shirt and black shoes.

“Hey!” He greets me with a smile when he notices me.

“Hi!”

“Wow Liam, you look pretty decent!” He laughs.

“Why, thank you!” I laugh with him. I feel like I haven’t laughed in ages. For the first time in a long time, I feel alive and happy again. I love feeling like this. Being happy feels amazing.

“Shall we go then?”

“Let’s go.” I say before leaving my apartment and shutting and locking the door behind me.

We sit in his car and after arguing on where to go, we decide to go to an amusement park nearby.

Time passes by quickly, and before we know it, it’s time to go. I wish we could stay a little longer. It was such a fun day. We rode many rides and ate very delicious food there. I don’t remember having this much fun in my life. My cheekbones and my stomach hurt from the constant smiling and laughing. It was an amazing day.

“Thank you so much for coming here with me! I had a lot of fun! I don’t remember having this much fun in my life!” I told Zayn while we walked back to his car.

“I agree, it was so fun! I wish we could stay longer! We should really hang out more often.” He smiled.

“Ya, totally.” I smiled back.

We talked a bit more while we walked to his car, when I accidentally bumped into someone.

“Hey crazy guy, be careful, ya?” The guy in front of me said with an evil grin on his face.

“Sorry.” I mumbled.

He put his hands on his neck and pretended to choke. “Oh no! There’s a ghost trying to choke me! Can you see him? Is it your Nialler?” He teased. I ignored him and tried to walk away but the guy stepped in front of me, preventing me to walk any further.

“Hey, where do you think you’re going? To the mental hospital, where you belong?” He laughed and I couldn’t hold my anger in anymore, I had to let it out.

“Hey dude, chill out! Stop teasing him! Don’t you have anything better to do? By the way, you’re the one who’s not normal here!” Zayn screamed at the guy just when I was about to punch that guy’s face.

“Shut up, would you? This is none of your business.” The guy snapped.

“You shut up! And actually, this is none of your business.” Zayn mocks the guy. “So what if he saw a ghost? The ghost of the guy he loved the most? That happens. Anything is possible in this world. I bet seeing that ghost was his reward for having such a big heart, unlike you!” He screamed again while pushing him.

Before I know it, they are fighting in front of me, while I stand there silently. I notice both of their hands are covered in blood, so I decide to take action before one of them ends up in the hospital.

“Hey! Hey! Stop it!” I go in between them and stop them. They are both glaring at each other. “Zayn let’s go.” I grab Zayn’s arm and we walk away from that annoying guy.

“Are you ok?” I ask him when we finally reach his car.

“Yeah I’m fine.”

“Thank you for defending me.” I smiled.

“It’s ok mate. After all, we’re brothers. We always have each other’s back and we always fight for each other when a stranger is cruel to any of us. “ He smiles back before driving away.
