It's often said that, no matter the truth, people see what they want to see. Some people might take a step back and find out they were looking at the same big picture all along. Some people might see that their lies have almost caught up to them. Some people may see what was there all along. And then there are those other people, the ones that run as far as they can so they don't have to look at themselves. And as for me, I can see clearly now.

14th of February, Sunday; 3am

Valentine’s Day is coming and instead of waking up by six in the morning using my alarm clock with my favorite tune of Kelly Clarkson, a scary voice was the reason why I wake up so early. The strange thing about it is the time. I heard news that three in the morning is a sacred hour, because three is the time when Jesus was died. That information was immediately pop out into my mind and directly scared me because of the voice I heard. I don’t know whose that person is, but I know it’s a ghost. I tried to talk to that spirit but no one responded so I slept again.

I wake up past seven and my mother Katelyn was already prepared me a breakfast. My father named Johnson already left because of his morning job as a doctor. We actually leave our home together and this is the first time that were not with each other’s company but that’s okay. I notice that Bridgette was never showed up to me. The only idea that was on my mind is that she already completes her mission here on earth.

My mother and I went to the church at the Manila Cathedral this morning and I saw something different inside. My mother observes something to me.

“Beth, are okay?” My Mother asked me feeling nervous.

“I’m sorry mom but there’s something unusual inside the church” I responded.

While my mother was talking to me, I saw Bridgette at the door of the church, which appears that she knows something inside the cathedral. She is trying to tell me something, but I can’t hear it so I decided to get there. As I move my feet further, I was shocked that she was in front of me. I look at her eyes and her eyes are petrified. She pushes me toward to my mother, and I notice the electric wire fell to the place where I’m standing before. My mother cries and hugs me tight and start saying “thank god, thank god”. People are watching us while, my mother is checking if I’m hurt. I tried to look for Bridgette but she’s gone for the second time. I wanted to thank her but she never showed up to me.

Quarter to three in the afternoon my mother and I went home. My father heard the news and asked me if I’m okay and I replied “yes”. I went to the bathroom inside my room to take a hot bath and change my apparel. I thought the strange accident was over but it’s not, today is the beginning of my journey.

As I enter my bathroom. I glance to my mirror and I saw something written on it. I move forward to read it and I was shocked! It was written with the use of a blood.

The message was “This is the time Beth to know the truth. The truth that will not set you free... but locks you away, forever”.

After reading the message, I took a towel and erase the message written on my mirror. I never take a shower after that. I went to bed and sleep to forget my worst day, the day with full of bad memories.

As I slept I dreamed Bridgette. I saw Bridgette for the first time with lots of blood streaming to her body. Her eyes were red and her clothes are filthy. She seems that she’s looking for revenge because her eyes are like a lion that could gobble you anytime. That dream appears real. I tried to talk to her, asking her why she’s in my dream. But the only word that she said was “Wake up”.
