College Days

Part Nine

Breadstick in mouth and wii remote in hand, Lance struggled to keep up with Keith as they played Mario Kart. He was losing terribly and was dead last. James snickered from his bed as he kept peeking up from the book he was reading to watch Lance's failure.

"It's like your not even trying."

"Shut up mullet!" Lance spat out as he tried to catch up. Keith just laughed and casually won the race. He gave Lance a smirk and winked.

"I win. Breadstick me." Keith opened his mouth and Lance groaned as he put a breadstick in his boyfriend mouth for him. He then gave Keith a devilish grin and bit off the other half of the breadstick that was sticking out of his mouth and ate it. "Hey!" Keith mumbled through his full mouth. Lance just laughed and got up to get out their costumes.

"We should get ready. I mean the party started an hour ago." He looked at James. "Are you not going?"

"I might show up later with Ryan." Lance nodded and handed Keith his costume and the two went to the bathrooms to go and change. Keith looked in the mirror in his room after getting changed. He thought that he looked like his mother and he just rolled his eyes. 'Why did I suggest this?' He asked, disappointed in himself. Lance walked into the room was in awe at how attractive Keith looked. Keith raised his eyebrow and gave Lance a small smile. He reached down and unhooked the handcuffs that were dangling from his pants and swung them around his finger.

"I should arrest you... for stealing my heart." He winked but cringed on the inside from the corny pun. Lance almost fell over laughing at his boyfriends attempt to flirt.

"Y-you should be arrested for that terrible line."

"Whatever. Let's go."

The Halloween party was being held at the sorority house just across the campus. It was a big fundraiser for them to raise money for charity. Keith and Lance paid for their entry and received orange bracelets and a raffle ticket for a prize later on.

"Come on, let's dance! I love this song." Lance pulled Keith to the center of the dance floor and they danced together. Lance spun Keith around a couple of times and kept him close. "Fight back the flight deck. Bring on the breakneck. Cue the solar eclipse" Lance sang as Keith laughed.

"Summit the sunset. Dovetail the dragnet. And blow your backbone to bits."

"Dear God, I was terribly lost. When the galaxies crossed. And the Sun went dark."

"But dear God, You're the only North Star I would follow this far." Lance blushed and leaned in to give Keith a kiss. He couldn't help but love how much joy he felt when he was with this emo kid. Keith enjoyed the kiss, although he was enjoying the dancing, singing and laughing, he enjoyed kissing Lance even more. Keith deepened the kiss  he forgot that they were in the center of a crowd and Lance didn't care that everyone could see them.

To Lance's surprise Keith pulled away and tugged on his hand to follow him. He lead the tall blue eyed dream out of the main party area, down the hall and into an empty living room. He then pulled him over to the couch and sat down.

"Uh... what are you doing mullet."

"Nothing." He began kissing him to shut him up which worked. Lance just deepened the kiss and placed his hands on Keith's waist as Keith's wrapped around Lance's neck. Lance gently pushed Keith to lay down on his back so Lance could lay on top of him without pausing their kiss. Keith tugged at the cheap orange costume shirt Lance was wearing, wanting to take it off.

"Uh not now." He protested.

"Awe why not" Keith pouted.

"Because I said so." Lance didn't want to tell Keith that he was insecure about his body. He was so scrawny compared to his boyfriend that he felt like he wasn't good enough. Keith didn't care though. He had a feeling that there was more to Lance than meets the eye. They've known each other for a while now but they never truly got to know each other. Keith felt a little bad for wanting to rush into things, he couldn't help it though. It's been a while for him.
