Chapter 30: Going Home

The next two weeks was filled with finding security for the place. Also we hired more people to help take care of the place. Alexis introduced me to her old friend. We got along right away she seemed like someone I can somewhat trust. Then Alexis told me that she wants her to be her right hand when I leave. I didn't have a problem with that so I told Alexis it was okay. Her friend started to come around more and we started to know each other more. Riley was keeping her distance with me but I knew she still wanted to be more than what we are, which I don't even know what we are because friends we aren't. I was also starting to open up to Alexis but not too much. She was also starting to open up to me. I'm sure with time we will be more open about each other and maybe one day consider to be family. Everything with the gang is finally settled and the ones left from Enrique's gang respect us and they've accepted we're their new leader, which it's good for everyone involved. The business was running smoothly we even got new customers old ones came back to us also. I met with our suppliers and they showed me how everything was made which it was insane to see first hand. I even got tempted to try our products but I wasn't going to do blow knowing I have two little ones waiting for me back home. Now that i have everything under control I'll finally be paying Penelope a visit. I was getting ready when I started to feel sadness all over again. My heart was aching badly. I just wanted to cry. So I went and locked myself in the restroom and I just cried letting everything out.

I was sitting on the floor wiping my tears away when I felt like a hand squeeze my heart and I was able to hear my parents voice clearly.

" go home " said my mom.

" they're safe but find them soon " said my dad.

" we will keep them safe " said my mom.

And that warm squeezing feeling I felt in my heart was gone and I couldn't hear them anymore. I was just sitting here thinking what the fuck? Am I going crazy? Why would I hear that in my parents voice and what does it even mean? 

I just got up to clean myself up then I left to finish getting ready to leave.

When I got done I left to Dave's room I just walked in and I instantly regretted it. I walked out and closed the door.

" uh sorry " I said embarrassed for what I just saw and I left quickly to my room.

Alexis saw me and she came inside my room.

" what's wrong with you " asked Alexis as I sat down.

" holy fuck I walked in on Dave getting some with the cook " i said trying to erase that image.

Alexis started to laugh " I walked on them last week too you'd think they'd learn by now but isn't that something " said Alexis.

" wait they've been seeing each other? And you've walked on them before? Oh wow, Dave isn't as smart then " I said laughing.

"Yeah they've been seeing each other for a while, but I know I guess they get caught up in the moment they forget to lock the door" said Alexis.

"I've seen them flirt and all but I didn't think much of it well good for Dave then. The cook he's good looking. But yeah that's true they probably do" I said.

"He is good lucking and what about you? Have you hooked up with anyone" asked Alexis.

"Nah I haven't hooked up with anyone, I'm not interested in anyone, and you" I asked.

"Me either and plus I don't want to hook up with my workers it'll look wrong" said Alexis.

"Yeah that's true it would look wrong" I said.

And that's when Dave walked in all shy and red.

"Sorry about that" said Dave.

I laughed " it's fine I don't mind just next time lock the door" I said.
