Chapter 2:My Mission

Karasu's POV

*eight years later*

when I was only five three terrible things happened:

1. My mother died

2. I became a murderer at five years old (some people thought I was defending myself others thought I was a monster

And 3. The hokage thought it was best for our protection that he split us up.

I was sent off with a man that had a strange snake like tongue, when we got to his house he transformed into another man like he was shedding skin. I found out his name was Orochimaru and soon he became my adoptive dad. He told me everything about him wanting to overthrow the hidden Leaf and make an immortality jutsu so we could live together forever.

I doubt he would waste the jutsu on me, I've seen the way he's used others and I know he's using me too, but I cannot defy the man that has taught me every moral in my life, no matter how much I want to.

I trained very hard and became top of my class and almost beat Orochimaru in a fight. So I became general of his army and I'm only thirteen. Everyone underestimates my personality and strictness, but when they defy me prepare for hell.

I met some interesting people while at my stay here. For example when I was seven a boy named Zaku came and we clicked immediately, he's like a brother to me and he's my best friend. My only friend.

Then there is Dosu I have no idea when he arrived one day he wasn't one day he was and no one introduced me to him until he became top of his class. Orochimaru introduced him to me as my 'betrothed'.

And to say the least I flipped, I ended up trashing the entire room and causing Dosu's arm sound enhancer thing to crack. Orochimaru just stood there staring as I had my tantrum. When I finally calmed down he explained that he wanted to keep the leaders strong when he finally had his time to 'leave' this planet. He wanted to have a strong heir as if I wasn't enough, he thought I needed the help of a man.

So I had a fiancé by the time I was ten and we were scheduled to marry the winter I turn eighteen. It sucks having to be tied down that early in life and be expected to have kids.

Right now I am walking around my house brushing my hair and waiting for 'dad' to give me permission to start training. I pass by the only mirror in the house and pause so I can cover my huge scar on my face. Unfortunately I am blind in my left eye, another reason for my opponent to think of me as weak, my depth perception.

Once I am done I here Orochimaru call out that I can go train as long as I walk with Dosu and train with him. I grumble a few choice words and meet my fiancé at the door, he holds his hand out to me which I take even though I don't want to. I look at his face and see that he is staring at me, I study his bandaged face slowly. I am the only one that has seen his face, he is not bad looking but he's not really my type of guy.

Once we reach the training grounds we begin with basic kicks and punches and increase in difficulty as we go. Dosu often uses his sound amplifier thing but what he doesn't realize is that I am immune to sound waves. When ever he uses those moves I 'dodge' the attack and continue the battle.

Another thing that he doesn't know, no one does is that I can control people's blood. I can make him explode from the inside out or make them bleed slowly from their pores so they suffer slowly and painfully.

I smile at Dosu sweetly and trip him with a swift move and stare at him so threateningly that he doesn't get up. I turn away from him quickly, I start to walk away.

"wait Karasu", he calls. I ignore him and start walking away from the village. He suddenly appears in front of me trying to get me to turn around.

"Karasu!"

I turn around to see Orochimaru. He motions for us both to follow him so we do. Once we reach his quarters we see another four people there, three boys and one girl. I wonder what this is about.

"I called you all here because I found out the Chunin exams are coming up and I want you all of you to enter so I can get a good look on the skills of the future hope of the Leaf and don't worry I'll be supervising you... Closely."

I smile evilly thinking finally a mission outside the walls of the village. Finally I get an once of freedom and maybe just maybe I can escape.

"now for your team Karasu will be on the team with Yoma and Terro while Dosu will be on a team with Zaku and Kin", Dad states. We all nod stiffly and walk off to start out journey to the Land hidden in the Leaves.

I pack my music sheets and spare clothing, all I need to survive for a while. I meet my team mates at the front gates and head out. I let out a high pitched whistle and hold out my arm. Within seconds a large raven is standing there nuzzling my neck. I smile and pet the bird gently as the others stare.

We walked for many hours and eventually we came to these big gates of the town known as Kohona, home of the Hokage.
